PM Modi promises to give Rs 18,000 in bank accounts of farmers under PM-Kisan scheme if BJP comes to power in West Bengal

PM Modi addressed today voters of Birbhum, Kolkata, Malda and Murshidabad virtually. He said, “West Bengal Elections are not just for a change in the government, I can see the rise of an aspirational and optimistic West Bengal in these polls. Be it villages or cities, I can see yearning for a better life, better education, better employment and better option everywhere.”

“West Bengal is voting for governance free of partiality. The people are looking for employment opportunities, ease of living and ease of doing business. BJP has taken a pledge to complete all such needs,” he further added.

Addressing the people of Bengal, the PM stated, “A craze for peace, security and development is being seen in Bengal. West Bengal, today is eager for a regime where every department of the government does its work, fulfills its responsibility. Bengal is voting for a system of harmony, free from discrimination.”

Talking about the development work of Modi Government, the Prime Minister asserted, “Record investment is coming to India. We want a major chunk of this to be used in Bengal to promote every form of industry and employment. BJP government will try its best to ensure this. Silk and jute industries are important aspects of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Promoting them is our responsibility. Similarly, we would also reduce wastage of fruits and vegetables and help farmers in every possible way.”

The PM highlighted several initiatives taken by the central government, he said, “Students need to be connected to industry right from school days, he/she must be given education according to their preferences and their language - the NEP has all these principles at its core. Poor, tribal, dalit, deprived and exploited children can also study medical, engineering and technology in their own language, for this new National Education Policy will be implemented fast here.”

PM Modi promised to give Rs 18,000 in bank accounts of farmers under PM-Kisan scheme if BJP comes to power in the state. The PM said, “Under the PM Awas Yojana, more than two crore houses have been built for the poor by our government across the country. After the formation of BJP government in Bengal, the pace of house construction for the poor will be increased very fast.”

Concluding his address, PM Modi said, “Till now the people of Bengal have voted very well. I pray that you will do the same in future. And even though there are two phases are left, you have to go only once to vote. I request you to ensure the guidelines which is made for voting which casting your franchise.” “Even during the vaccine and after the vaccine, the mask is necessary, it is necessary to cover the entire face with the mask. We need to remember the mantra of ‘Dawai Bhi, Kadai Bhi’,” he added.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu on 19th November.

At around 10 AM, Prime Minister will visit the holy shrine and Mahasamadhi of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, to offer his obeisance and pay respects. At around 10:30 AM, Prime Minister will participate in the Centenary Celebrations of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. On this occasion, he will release a Commemorative Coin and a set of Stamps honouring the life, teachings, and enduring legacy of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He will also address the gathering during the programme.

Thereafter, the Prime Minister will travel to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where he will inaugurate the South India Natural Farming Summit at around 1:30 PM. During the programme, the Prime Minister will release the 21st instalment of PM-KISAN, amounting to more than ₹18,000 crore to support 9 crore farmers across the country. PM will also address the gathering on the occasion.

South India Natural Farming Summit, being held from 19th to 21st November 2025, is being organised by the Tamil Nadu Natural Farming Stakeholders Forum. The Summit aims to promote sustainable, eco-friendly, and chemical-free agricultural practices, and to accelerate the shift towards natural and regenerative farming as a viable, climate-smart and economically sustainable model for India’s agricultural future.

The Summit will also focus on creating market linkages for farmer-producer organisations and rural entrepreneurs, while showcasing innovations in organic inputs, agro-processing, eco-friendly packaging, and indigenous technologies. The programme will witness participation from over 50,000 farmers, natural farming practitioners, scientists, organic input suppliers, sellers, and stakeholders from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.
