The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has conveyed his best wishes to all personnel of the Indian Army on Infantry Day.

Sharing a post on X by ADG, Public Information , Indian Army, the Prime Minister said:

“Best wishes to all personnel of the Indian Army on Infantry Day. This is a day to honour the relentless courage and tenacity of our infantry. Every effort of theirs echoes their commitment to our nation's safety and sovereignty. Their tireless vigil and unmatched valour have stood the test of time.”

Prime Minister shares Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the valour and duty of the Indian Armed Forces

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, said that the courage and valour of the Indian Armed Forces in protecting the honour and dignity of the nation make every citizen proud. He noted that their spirit of sacrificing everything for Mother India is a source of inspiration for all.

The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit verse-

“स्वधर्ममपि चावेक्ष्य न विकम्पितुमर्हसि |
धर्म्याद्धि युद्धाच्छ्रेयोऽन्यत्क्षत्रियस्य न विद्यते ||”

The verse conveys that When one becomes aware of one’s duty, there should be no hesitation or fear of any kind in the mind, because the struggle undertaken to protect religion and honour on the altar of justice is the most excellent and most glorious path to self-welfare for a warrior.
