PM's appeal to countrymen ahead of Ayodhya verdict

As the Supreme Court gives its verdict on Ayodhya, PM Modi, taking to Twitter appealed the fellow countrymen to maintain harmony and respect the Honourable Court's decision.

PM Modi said, "The Supreme Court's decision on Ayodhya is coming tomorrow. For the past few months, the matter was being heard continuously in the Supreme Court, the whole country was watching eagerly. During this period, the efforts made by all sections of the society to maintain an atmosphere of peace are greatly appreciated."

The PM further said that whatever be the decision of the Supreme Court on Ayodhya, it will not be a victory or defeat for anyone. He appealed to the countrymen that the decision should further strengthen peace, unity and goodwill of India.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today expressed deep anguish over the loss of lives due to a fire tragedy in Birbhum, West Bengal.

The Prime Minister extended his condolences to those who have lost their loved ones and prayed for the early recovery of the injured. He added that the local administration is actively assisting those affected in the mishap.
