After the successful visit to Seychelles, PM Modi where held extensive meetings with President Mr. Rajkeswur Purryag and other delegates. He visited the Ganga Talao in Mauritius and praised Mauritius for enriching Hindi literature. He also expressed his delight on being able to attend the National Day Celebrations of Mauritius.

Prime Minister pays tribute to Munshi Premchand on his birth anniversary

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, paid tributes to renowned litterateur Munshi Premchand on his birth anniversary.

The Prime Minister said that through his timeless literary works, Munshi Premchand gave a powerful expression to human emotions that continues to remain relevant even today. He also noted his invaluable contribution in bringing the literary heritage of Kashi, his birthplace and karmabhoomi, to global recognition.

Shri Modi said that Munshi Premchand’s immortal literature, rooted in realism and social equality, will continue to inspire the people of the country.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“महान कथाकार मुंशी प्रेमचंद जी को उनकी जन्म-जयंती पर आदरपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि। अपनी कालजयी रचनाओं के माध्यम से उन्होंने मानवीय संवेदनाओं को ऐसी सशक्त अभिव्यक्ति दी, जो आज भी प्रासंगिक है। अपनी जन्मभूमि और कर्मभूमि काशी की साहित्यिक विरासत को विश्व पटल पर पहचान दिलाने में भी उनका अमूल्य योगदान रहा है। यथार्थ और सामाजिक समानता पर आधारित उनका अमर साहित्य देशवासियों के लिए सदैव प्रेरणा का स्रोत बना रहेगा।”
