Amid great zeal and zest Chief Minister Narendra Modi joined people at state-level celebration in Junagadh district today on the eve of 66th Independence Day.

Junagadh city and district wore an unprecedented patriotic look right from the morning till night. Mr. Modi who reached Junagadh in the morning interacted with district farmers via video conferencing and addressed youth and women congregation.

CM interacts with farmers via video conference, Exhorts them to go high-tech farming

 

Chief Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the farmers via video conference and launched ‘ICT launching of life’ project of Junagadh Agricultural University. The session was live-telecasted in all 18,000 villages of the State.

Unveiling the agricultural development work plan of Junagadh university Chief Minister said that Gujarat has received 36 MHz satellite transponder from the government of India which has been successfully used by the state in providing agro scientists’ guidance to the farmers of remote places and for providing long distance education.

He exuded faith that state’s efforts for providing solutions to farmers regarding their farming related issues will be helpful to them. He said that due to the efforts like Krishi Mahotsav and water conservation the state’s agriculture growth rate has been consistently remained over 10%. He hoped that Gujarat’s progressive farmers will show path of agriculture revolution to the farmers of the country.

He said the state government will spare no efforts in helping farmers and safeguarding speech-less animals during the times of water scarcity.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation today with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian.

President Pezeshkian briefed the Prime Minister on the current situation in Iran and shared his perspective on recent developments in the region.

The Prime Minister expressed deep concern about the evolving security situation in the region and reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.

The Prime Minister highlighted India’s priority regarding the safety and well-being of Indian nationals in the region, including in Iran, as also the importance of unhindered transit of energy and goods.

The two leaders agreed to remain in touch.
