On March 10, 2024, the historic Purana Quila in Delhi was filled with artistic energy as it hosted the 'Viksit Bharat Ambassadors Artist Workshop.' The National Gallery of Modern Art organised the workshop in collaboration with the Lalit Kala Akademi and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The theme of the day-long workshop was 'Viksit Bharat by 2047.' The workshop began registrations at 9 AM and concluded at 5 PM. Each artist was free to explore the medium, from sketching to acrylic painting, photography, and other art forms.

The 'Viksit Bharat Ambassador Artist Workshop' was a huge success, with over 15,000 artists participating in person and engaging over 50,000 more virtually from across the country. The event brought together creative minds of all ages, from children to seniors, at Delhi's Purana Quila, where they contributed their visions for a developed India through vibrant paintings. The artists showcased their creative visualisations of a developed India, portraying various aspects such as a pollution-free environment, a globally-leading India, a digitally connected India, and more.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed Ministers, Sh. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles, and Dr S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of India. The ministers personally interacted with participants at the event venue, inspiring and encouraging artists with their admiration and motivational words.

At the 'Viksit Bharat Ambassador Artist Workshop', attendees registered for participation by downloading the NaMo App in large numbers. Participants proudly wore 'I am a Viksit Bharat Ambassador' caps. Artists were tasked with envisioning a 'Viksit Bharat' on their canvas and were provided with art kits and refreshments to facilitate their creative expression. The event also witnessed enthusiastic participation by NaMo App volunteers, who used the app to collect inputs for Sankalp Patra.

Artistic and cultural performances complemented the artists' depiction of a developed India. The event showcased dances and dramas from different parts of the country.

 Notably, many artists chose to portray beautiful portraits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an expression of their admiration and respect.

The Chief Guest, Sh. Piyush Goyal distributed signed copies of the books 'Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery' and 'Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann Ki Baat@100' to honour distinguished artists for their contributions. In a powerful speech that followed, he inspired thousands of artists to further PM Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India until it is fully realised.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal stated that artists serve as 'Viksit Bharat Ambassadors', communicating India's journey towards development to its 140 crore citizens.

External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar emphasised that the concept of 'Viksit Bharat' entails increasing India's global impact and influence.

The Viksit Bharat Ambassador movement aims to encourage citizens to take responsibility for contributing to India's development. VBA meet-ups and events are being organized in various parts of the country to achieve this goal. These events provide a platform for participants to engage in constructive discussions, exchange ideas, and explore practical strategies for contributing to the movement.

At today's Viksit Bharat Ambassador Artist Workshop, participant Harsita Goyal of Cosmos Public School proudly identified herself as part of the 'Modi Parivar' (Modi family).

Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka on 15th April 2026. At around 11 AM, Prime Minister will inaugurate the Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandira at Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri in Mandya district. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

During the visit, Prime Minister will also jointly release the book titled “Saundarya Lahari and Shiva Mahimna Stotram” along with former Prime Minister Shri H. D. Deve Gowda ji.
