Viksit Bharat Ambassador Artist Workshop Attracts Massive Participation at Delhi's Purana Quila

On March 10, 2024, the historic Purana Quila in Delhi was filled with artistic energy as it hosted the 'Viksit Bharat Ambassadors Artist Workshop.' The National Gallery of Modern Art organised the workshop in collaboration with the Lalit Kala Akademi and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The theme of the day-long workshop was 'Viksit Bharat by 2047.' The workshop began registrations at 9 AM and concluded at 5 PM. Each artist was free to explore the medium, from sketching to acrylic painting, photography, and other art forms.

The 'Viksit Bharat Ambassador Artist Workshop' was a huge success, with over 15,000 artists participating in person and engaging over 50,000 more virtually from across the country. The event brought together creative minds of all ages, from children to seniors, at Delhi's Purana Quila, where they contributed their visions for a developed India through vibrant paintings. The artists showcased their creative visualisations of a developed India, portraying various aspects such as a pollution-free environment, a globally-leading India, a digitally connected India, and more.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed Ministers, Sh. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles, and Dr S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of India. The ministers personally interacted with participants at the event venue, inspiring and encouraging artists with their admiration and motivational words.

At the 'Viksit Bharat Ambassador Artist Workshop', attendees registered for participation by downloading the NaMo App in large numbers. Participants proudly wore 'I am a Viksit Bharat Ambassador' caps. Artists were tasked with envisioning a 'Viksit Bharat' on their canvas and were provided with art kits and refreshments to facilitate their creative expression. The event also witnessed enthusiastic participation by NaMo App volunteers, who used the app to collect inputs for Sankalp Patra.

Artistic and cultural performances complemented the artists' depiction of a developed India. The event showcased dances and dramas from different parts of the country.

 Notably, many artists chose to portray beautiful portraits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an expression of their admiration and respect.

The Chief Guest, Sh. Piyush Goyal distributed signed copies of the books 'Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery' and 'Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann Ki Baat@100' to honour distinguished artists for their contributions. In a powerful speech that followed, he inspired thousands of artists to further PM Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India until it is fully realised.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal stated that artists serve as 'Viksit Bharat Ambassadors', communicating India's journey towards development to its 140 crore citizens.

External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar emphasised that the concept of 'Viksit Bharat' entails increasing India's global impact and influence.

The Viksit Bharat Ambassador movement aims to encourage citizens to take responsibility for contributing to India's development. VBA meet-ups and events are being organized in various parts of the country to achieve this goal. These events provide a platform for participants to engage in constructive discussions, exchange ideas, and explore practical strategies for contributing to the movement.

Participant Shweta Luthra highlighted Viksit Bharat's aim for India's economic advancement. She praised PM Modi's efforts in promoting infrastructure and arts, aiming for India's ascent to the top of the global economy within 5-10 years.

At today's Viksit Bharat Ambassador Artist Workshop, participant Harsita Goyal of Cosmos Public School proudly identified herself as part of the 'Modi Parivar' (Modi family).

 आज कोलकाता की धरती से पश्चिम बंगाल और पूर्वी भारत के विकास का नया अध्याय लिखा जा रहा है। सड़क, रेलवे और पोर्ट इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर, इनसे जुड़ी 18 हजार करोड़ रुपए से अधिक, 18 हजार करोड़ रुपए से अधिक की परियोजनाओं का शिलान्यास और लोकार्पण हुआ है। यह प्रोजेक्ट्स पश्चिम बंगाल और पूर्वी भारत को नई रफ्तार देंगे, इनसे व्यापार और उद्योग को बढ़ावा मिलेगा, लाखों लोगों का जीवन आसान होगा, उन्हें नए अवसर मिलेंगे, खड़गपुर–मोरेग्राम एक्सप्रेसवे के पूरा होने से पश्चिम बंगाल के अनेक हिस्सों में आर्थिक गतिविधियां तेज होंगी। दुबराजपुर बाईपास, कांग्सावती, शीलावती नदियों पर बनने वाले बड़े पुल और इनसे भी कनेक्टिविटी बेहतर होगी। मैं इन परियोजनाओं के लिए पश्चिम बंगाल समेत पूरे पूर्वी भारत के लोगों को बहुत-बहुत बधाई देता हूं। 

साथियों,

आज देश में रेलवे को आधुनिक बनाने का तेज अभियान चल रहा है। हमारा यह संकल्प है कि पश्चिम बंगाल इस अभियान में पीछे न रहे! इसलिए, केंद्र सरकार, पश्चिम बंगाल के रेलवे इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर का भी तेज विस्तार करने के लिए प्रयास कर रही है। आज कलाईकुंडा और कानिमहुली सेक्शन में ऑटोमेटिक ब्लाक सिग्नलिंग प्रणाली को भी राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया गया है। इनसे व्यस्त रेल मार्ग की क्षमता बढ़ेगी, यात्रा सुरक्षित होगी, साथ ही, यात्रियों के लिए स्पीड और सुविधा भी बढ़ेगी।

साथियों,

आज कामाख्या गुड़ी, अनारा, तमलुक, हल्दिया, बराभूम और सिउड़ी, इन छह स्टेशनों का अमृत स्टेशन के तौर पर उद्घाटन हुआ है। हमारे बंगाल की महान संस्कृति की झलक अब इन स्टेशनों पर और भी निखर कर आ रही है। अभी यहां कई और स्टेशनों का भी पुनर्विकास किया जा रहा है। पुरुलिया और आनंद विहार टर्मिनल के बीच नई एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन सेवा को भी हरी झंडी दिखाई गई है। इस ट्रेन सेवा का लाभ पश्चिम बंगाल के साथ झारखंड, बिहार, उत्तर प्रदेश और दिल्ली के लोगों को भी मिलेगा।

साथियों,

सड़क और रेल कनेक्टिविटी जितनी महत्वपूर्ण है, उतनी ही अहम भूमिका पोर्ट और वाटर ट्रांसपोर्ट भी निभाते हैं। दशकों तक, पूर्वी भारत के इस सामर्थ्य की बड़ी उपेक्षा हुई है। लेकिन, आज वॉटरवेज व्यापार और औद्योगिक प्रगति के नए रास्ते खोल रहे हैं। इसी दिशा में, आज पोर्ट इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर से जुड़ी अहम परियोजनाओं का शिलान्यास और लोकार्पण हुआ। कोलकाता और हल्दिया जैसे बंदरगाह लंबे समय से पूर्वी भारत में व्यापार के प्रमुख केंद्र रहे हैं। हल्दिया डॉक कॉम्प्लेक्स, इसका मशीनीकरण हो रहा है। इससे कार्गो ऑपरेशन और तेज होगा, बंदरगाह की क्षमता बढ़ेगी और व्यापार के लिए नई सुविधाएं तैयार होंगी। कोलकाता डॉक सिस्टम में बास्कुल ब्रिज का रिनोवेशन भी किया जा रहा है। खिदिरपुर डॉक में कार्गो हैंडलिंग क्षमता बढ़ाने पर भी हमारा जोर है। इन सभी परियोजनाओं से पूर्वी भारत का लॉजिस्टिक सिस्टम और मजबूत होगा।

साथियों,

सड़क, रेल और पोर्ट से जुड़ी नई-नई परियोजनाएं, यह पश्चिम बंगाल के आधुनिक भविष्य के लिए नया रास्ता खोल रही हैं। इसका फायदा किसान, व्यापारी, उद्यमी, स्टूडेंट्स, हर किसी को मिलेगा। पर्यटन जैसे सेक्टर्स में भी नए अवसर पैदा होंगे। स्थानीय उद्योग और सेवाओं को गति मिलेगी। हमारा संकल्प है, बंगाल ने हमेशा जिस तरह भारत को दिशा दिखाई है, बंगाल एक बार फिर ‘विकसित बंगाल’ बनकर उस गौरव को हासिल करे। मुझे पूरा विश्वास है, मजबूत कनेक्टिविटी और आधुनिक इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर, यह विकसित बंगाल की बुनियाद बनेंगे। इसी कामना के साथ, मैं एक बार फिर आप सभी को इन विकास परियोजनाओं के लिए बहुत-बहुत बधाई देता हूं। अब यह सरकारी कार्यक्रम पूरा होते ही मैं जरा खुले मैदान में जाऊंगा, वहां पूरा बंगाल आज इकट्ठा हुआ है, मुझे पूरे बंगाल के दर्शन होने वाले हैं और बहुत महत्वपूर्ण विषयों की चर्चा बंगाल की जनता जनार्दन के बीच में करूंगा। इस कार्यक्रम में इतना काफी है।
