Greeting the Teachers' community, and paying tribute to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan on Teachers' Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that teachers inspire as well as inform, educate and enlighten. Stating that they have a tremendous influence on the lives of children, PM Modi added, "The values inculcated by teachers stay with the students for a lifetime."

शिक्षक दिवस के अवसर पर डॉ एस राधाकृष्णन को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि शिक्षकों द्वारा सिखाए गए मूल्य जीवन भर विद्यार्थियों के साथ रहते हैं। पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि अगर कोई समाज को सार्थक और सकारात्मक रूप से आगे ले जाने का कार्य करता है, तो वह शिक्षक ही है। यह सौभाग्य के साथ-साथ एक बड़े दायित्व की भी बात है और मुझे खुशी है कि हमारे शिक्षक पूरी प्रतिबद्धता के साथ अपने कर्तव्य का निर्वाह कर रहे हैं।

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated ISRO scientists on the successful launch of GSLV MK III-D2 carrying GSAT-29 satellite.

“My heartiest congratulations to our scientists on the successful launch of GSLV MK III-D2 carrying GSAT-29 satellite. The double success sets a new record of putting the heaviest satellite in orbit by an Indian launch vehicle.  

The satellite will provide communication and internet services to the remotest corners of our country”, the Prime Minister said.
