PM hands over chaadar to be offered at Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today handed over the "Chaadar" to be offered at the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, Ajmer Sharif, to Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Minister of State for Minority Affairs.

Greeting people on the occasion of the Annual Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, the Prime Minister said in a message that India has been a land of sages, saints and prophets for thousands of years. He recalled Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti's message of amity to his followers, and added that this was relevant even today. 

Following is the full text of the Prime Minister's message: 

"ख़्वाजा मोईनुद्दीन चिश्ती के वार्षिक उर्स के अवसर पर विश्व भर में रह रहे उनके अनुयायियों को मेरी शुभकामनाएं एवं बधाई। 

भारत-भूमि हजारों वर्षों से ऋषि-मुनियों, संतों एवं पीर-पैगम्बरों की जननी रही है। ख़्वाजा मोईनुद्दीन चिश्ती ने भारत की सूफी संत परंपरा को कायम रखते हुए सभी धर्मों के अनुयायियों को आपस में प्रेमपूर्वक रहने का महान संदेश दिया है। गरीब नवाज़ का यह संदेश आज भी सार्थक है। 

ख़्वाजा मोईनुद्दीन चिश्ती के वार्षिक उर्स की सफलता के लिए मेरी शुभकामनाएं।"

Prime Minister highlights efforts to preserve and promote India’s cultural heritage

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has highlighted efforts to preserve and promote India’s cultural heritage and said that India’s cultural heritage is being preserved, celebrated and carried forward with renewed vigour.

The Prime Minister stated that guided by the vision of ‘Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi’, efforts ranging from the repatriation of antiquities to strengthening spiritual and pilgrimage infrastructure are reconnecting people with India’s timeless traditions.

In a post on X, he said;
