The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has greeted people across the country, celebrating various festivals on the advent of New Year.

"Greetings to people across India celebrating the advent of the New Year. May this new year bring joy and prosperity.

Wishing all my Sindhi friends on the auspicious occasion of Cheti Chand. We bow to Lord Jhulelal and seek his divine blessings.

Gudi Padwa wishes to all friends in Maharashtra. Praying for a phenomenal year, full of happiness and success.

On the special day of Ugadi, my greetings to everyone. I hope the new year brings peace and prosperity in our society.

Navreh greetings to my fellow citizens. I pray that the coming year enhances the spirit of happiness and harmony in our lives.

Sajibu Cheiraoba greetings to the wonderful people of Manipur. May the new year fulfil all your wishes", the Prime Minister said.

PM visits Somnath Temple, terms the 75th anniversary of its rebuilding a milestone in Bharat's civilisational journey

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today visited the Somnath Temple and expressed feeling blessed on the occasion marking 75 years since the rebuilt temple opened its doors for devotees.

The Prime Minister noted his divine experience upon arriving at the holy shrine of Somnath on the 75th anniversary of the rebuilt temple's inauguration. Shri Modi highlighted that seeing the immense energy and enthusiasm of Lord Somnath's devotees along the temple path left him overwhelmed and emotional. He stated that he is reliving the very moment today that India's first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ji, must have experienced during the inauguration of the rebuilt temple. He further added that the devotional atmosphere of the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav is infusing an amazing energy all around.

The Prime Minister also observed that one can experience Bhakti in every corner of Somnath. Acknowledging that countless people have come together to mark 75 years since the rebuilt temple opened its doors, Shri Modi emphasised that the historic day was indeed a milestone in the civilisational journey of Bharat.

In a series of posts on X, the Prime Minister wrote:

"पुनर्निर्मित सोमनाथ मंदिर के लोकार्पण की 75वीं वर्षगांठ पर पावनधाम सोमनाथ आकर दिव्य अनुभूति हुई है। इस अवसर पर मंदिर मार्ग पर भगवान सोमनाथ के भक्तों के जोश और प्रचंड उत्साह को देखकर मन अभिभूत और भावविभोर है! मैं आज यहां उस क्षण को जी रहा हूं, जिसका अनुभव भारत के प्रथम राष्ट्रपति डॉ. राजेंद्र प्रसाद जी ने पुनर्निर्मित मंदिर के लोकार्पण के अवसर पर किया होगा। सोमनाथ अमृत महोत्सव का भक्तिमय वातावरण हर तरफ अद्भुत ऊर्जा का संचार कर रहा है।"
