In a letter to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Shri Narendra Modi has urged the Central Government to ensure the safety of the Indian community abroad in the wake of terrorist attacks. This letter comes in the aftermath of the gruesome attack at a Nairobi mall where several people including many Indians lost their lives.

In his letter Narendra Modi ji also wrote that the Indian community has been living in Kenya for generations and they have contributed to the cultural, social and economic life there in a big way. He added that this attack has left the Indian community in great shock and that their concerns must be addressed by the Indian government.

He opined in the letter that having been victims of such attacks, we can understand the pain among the people in such time. Shri Modi called for the coming together of all humanitarian forces across the world to spread the message of peace and fight the menace of terror. He also added that there must not be any stone unturned in the fight against terror.
