Chief Minister interacts with 2 lakh primary teachers over BISAG network

Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhia Modi appealed the teachers of the State to incorporate innovative and creative methods in their teaching.

A 5 day special training module for teachers has been arranged by Education department. As a part of programme, Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi had an inspirational talk with around 2 lakh primary school teachers over the BISAG satellite transmission system. Chief Minister said that teachers will be awarded and encouraged for bringing qualitative changes in education through innovative experiments.

He said that teacher is responsible for building of healthy future generation. There are many such teachers in Gujarat who have devoted their entire life for the cause of education. Such teachers are still respected by their successful students. In our tradition, we respect our ‘guru’. Up to what extent we are still observing this tradition is a matter to introspect, he added.

Talking about ‘Gunotsav’, Shri Modi said that it is an opportunity for self-assessment and hence should be taken with zealous attitude as it is going to build a healthy and bright future for us in the form of trained human resource. Continual training is like a flow of spring water, which is needed for human resource development, he said/

Chief Minister also asked teachers to take a lead of ‘Vache Gujarat’ movement. He suggested arranging special elocution competitions and encouraging Gujarati language. He also said that schools should create a positive environment for sports activities and train students for ‘Khelkud Mahakumbh’.

He said that for a teacher, it is not just to know but to implement new thoughts is important. He appealed the teachers to not to take training as an unnecessary load but to take it as a vibrant flow of energy.

Education Minister Shri Ramanlal Vora, Principal Secretary to Education Department Shri Hasmukh Adhiya, Secretary to Primary Education Shri R.P.Gupta along with the officials of Education department were present during the session.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation today with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian.

President Pezeshkian briefed the Prime Minister on the current situation in Iran and shared his perspective on recent developments in the region.

The Prime Minister expressed deep concern about the evolving security situation in the region and reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.

The Prime Minister highlighted India’s priority regarding the safety and well-being of Indian nationals in the region, including in Iran, as also the importance of unhindered transit of energy and goods.

The two leaders agreed to remain in touch.
