PM Modi assures Centre's assistance to address drought situation in Tamil Nadu

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri O. Paneerselvam, called on the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today.

The ban imposed on Jallikattu by the Supreme Court came up for discussion. While appreciating the cultural significance of Jallikattu, the Prime Minister observed that the matter is presently sub-judice.

The Centre would be supportive of steps taken by the State Government.

The Prime Minister also assured the Chief Minister that all possible assistance would be provided to the State to address the drought situation, and a central team would be deputed to the State shortly.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam today, highlighting the power of winning hearts through vision, thoughts, words, and actions.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

"हमारे युवा साथी देश का भविष्य ही नहीं, वर्तमान की सबसे बड़ी शक्ति भी हैं। उन्होंने अपनी संवेदनशीलता, सेवाभाव और सामर्थ्य से दुनियाभर में अलग पहचान बनाई है।

चक्षुषा मनसा वाचा कर्मणा च चतुर्विधम्।

प्रसादयति यो लोकं तं लोकोऽनुप्रसीदति।।"

A person who wins people's hearts through his vision, thoughts, words and actions earns, in return, their trust, respect and goodwill.
