PM Modi receives call from US President Trump, reviews bilateral ties and discusses West Asia and Strait of Hormuz

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi received a call from US President Donald Trump.

The two leaders reviewed the substantial progress achieved in bilateral cooperation across various sectors and expressed commitment to further strengthening the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership in all areas.

They also discussed the situation in West Asia and stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and secure.

Shri Modi wrote on X;

“Received a call from my friend President Donald Trump. We reviewed the substantial progress achieved in our bilateral cooperation in various sectors. We are committed to further strengthening our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership in all areas. We also discussed the situation in West Asia and stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and secure.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam, observing that firm resolve and self-control are the powers that make even the most difficult paths easy. Shri Modi highlighted that today, our youth are continuously engaged in nation-building with this very resolve.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"दृढ़ निश्चय और आत्म-संयम वह शक्ति है, जो कठिन से कठिन राह को भी आसान बना देती है। आज हमारे युवा साथी इसी संकल्प के साथ राष्ट्र निर्माण में निरंतर जुटे हुए हैं।

निश्चित्य यः प्रक्रमते
नान्तर्वसति कर्मणः।

अबन्ध्यकालो वश्यात्मा
स वै पण्डित उच्यते॥"

A person who begins a task after careful deliberation and with firm resolve, who never leaves it unfinished, who uses time wisely and who maintains complete control over their senses, such a person alone is truly wise.
