Prime Minister pays homage to brave participants of the Quit India Movement

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has remembered all those who participated in the historic Quit India Movement and paid tribute to their courage and determination in India’s freedom struggle. Shri Modi said that inspired by the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, the clarion call of the Quit India Movement infused new energy into the freedom struggle and reflected the unwavering resolve of the people of India to break free from colonial rule.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

Remembering all those who participated in the historic Quit India Movement. Their courage will always remain an inspiration for every Indian. Inspired by the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, the clarion call of Quit India infused new energy into our freedom struggle and reflected the unwavering determination of our people to break free from colonial rule.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi received a telephone call today from the Vice President of the United States, Mr. J.D. Vance.

Prime Minister and Vice President Vance reviewed progress in the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. They noted the sustained momentum in the high-level engagements and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in trade, defence, critical and emerging technologies, energy security and critical minerals.

They also exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.

Prime Minister warmly congratulated Vice President Vance and Ms. Usha Vance on the birth of their son and conveyed best wishes to the family.
