‘A vote for NDA is a vote for Bihar’s stability and prosperity,’ says PM Modi in Bhagalpur

PM Modi addressed large public gatherings in Araria & Bhagalpur, Bihar, where people turned up in huge numbers to express their support for the NDA. Speaking with conviction, PM Modi said that the people of Bihar have already made up their minds – ‘Phir Ekbar, NDA Sarkar!’

In Araria, the PM said that behind this spirit of Bihar lie the hopes of mothers and sisters and the dreams of the youth. “Your dream is my resolve,” the PM declared, emphasizing that his hard work is dedicated to securing a better future for the children of Bihar. Reminding people of their vote’s power, he urged them to protect Bihar from those who had once pushed the state into jungle raj.

PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the RJD-Congress alliance, saying that from 1990 to 2005, Bihar witnessed 15 years of total ruin and no progress under jungle raj. “In those 15 years, the report card of development was zero,” he said. “No expressway, no bridge on the Kosi river, no tourist circuit, no sports complex, no medical college. Not a single IIT, IIM or National Law University was set up. That era only looted Bihar and destroyed the dreams of an entire generation.”

Outlining the NDA’s development roadmap, PM Modi said that the government’s mantra is education for all, healthcare for all, income for all, justice for all and irrigation for every farm. He shared details about the Kosi-Mechi link project worth thousands of crores aimed at reducing floods and ensuring irrigation for farmers. He spoke about initiatives like the National Makhana Board, record MSP for jute farmers and major support schemes that have empowered farmers and women alike.

Highlighting the success of women-led development, PM Modi said that under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, more than 1.4 crore women have received financial support of ₹10,000 each directly in their bank accounts. “Bihar’s women have resolved to build a prosperous Bihar. They now stand as the strongest wall against any return of jungle raj,” he said.

In the Bhagalpur rally, PM Modi criticised RJD and Congress for never understanding the value of self-reliance or Swadeshi. “For them, 'A se Apharan, F se Firauti! Their dictionary begins with corruption and ends with chaos,” he said, drawing laughter from the crowd. He reminded the people that the Congress can never erase the stain of the Bhagalpur riots — a dark reminder of its divisive and destructive politics.

Outlining NDA’s roadmap for progress, PM Modi said the government is working to make Bihar a hub for textiles, tourism and technology. “Bihar is known for its silk, and we want it to be known for semiconductors too,” he said, adding that the NDA has laid out a detailed plan to generate one crore new jobs. He highlighted massive infrastructure projects including the four-lane Vikramshila Bridge, the 7-km Kosi bridge, and the newly approved Buxar–Bhagalpur High-Speed Corridor which will boost connectivity and attract investment worth thousands of crores.

In his concluding remarks PM Modi promised a powerful mix of conviction, facts and connection with the people of Bihar. With loud chants of “Phir ek baar NDA Sarkar,” the rally echoed the spirit of a confident and forward-looking Bihar.
