Chief Minister today launched a five day training programme for about 83338 secondary school teachers and principals, from BISAG studio at Gandhinagar.Chief Minister said that current teaching process has become outdated. Today the biggest challenge for a teacher is to incorporate innovative methods in his teachings.

Mentioning the song 'Manushya tu bada mahan hai' that presented in the beginning of the programme, Chief Minister said that we should create an environment where people would sing 'Shikshak tu bada mahan hai'. A teacher should not limit himself to syllabus and text-books but prepare himself to build the future of his pupils. If a teacher visits his student's house and build an emotional bond with his parents, it would surely lessen the distance between a teacher and a student, he said.Education Minister Shri Ramanlal Vora, State Minister Shri Jaysinhji Chauhan, Principal Secretary to Education Department Shri Hasamukh Adhiya, Principal Secretary to Science and Technology Department Shri R. Saxena and officials of Education Department were present on the occasion.
