Specialized universities set up by GoG will become best centers producing expert human resources: CM
Chief Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the centennial celebration of Sarvjanik Education Society of Surat. Speaking on the occasion he said the specialized universities started by the Gujarat government viz. Teachers’ University (IITE), Sports University, Rakshashakti University and Forensic Science University will become the best centers which will produce the expert human resources.
The seed sown a hundred years back by the banks of Tapi has bloomed into a huge tree today, said Chief Minister while praising the organization. The organization has produced many well-known personalities even in the midst of many odds with the committed efforts of its office bearers, which is the testimonial to its historic works, he said.
During last 30 years technology has brought drastic changes in the field of education. New methods of imparting education are coming in with the speed the new mobile gadgets hitting the market, he said. He also asked the educational institutes to keep up with the rapid changes of technology sector.
A decade back Gujarat had only 11 universities giving conventional education. Now the state has as many as 41 universities running various different courses. In agriculture field the state has come up with four universities which have received the acclamation of being the centre of excellence, he said.
