The 7th Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit in Gandhinagar, Gujarat brought together a large number of businesspersons and leaders from India & World on a common platform where they expressed their commitment for deeper ties with India and a greater participation in PM Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’ and ‘Make in India’.

PM shares a Sanskrit Subhashitam emphasising the sacred occasion of Makar Sankranti

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today conveyed his wishes to all citizens on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Makar Sankranti is a festival that reflects the richness of Indian culture and traditions, symbolizing harmony, prosperity, and the spirit of togetherness. He expressed hope that the sweetness of til and gur will bring joy and success into the lives of all, while invoking the blessings of Surya Dev for the welfare of the nation.
Shri Modi also shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam invoking the blessings of Lord Surya, highlighting the spiritual significance of the festival.

In separate posts on X, Shri Modi wrote:

“सभी देशवासियों को मकर संक्रांति की असीम शुभकामनाएं। तिल और गुड़ की मिठास से भरा भारतीय संस्कृति एवं परंपरा का यह दिव्य अवसर हर किसी के जीवन में प्रसन्नता, संपन्नता और सफलता लेकर आए। सूर्यदेव सबका कल्याण करें।”

“संक्रांति के इस पावन अवसर को देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में स्थानीय रीति-रिवाजों के अनुसार मनाया जाता है। मैं सूर्यदेव से सबके सुख-सौभाग्य और उत्तम स्वास्थ्य की कामना करता हूं।

सूर्यो देवो दिवं गच्छेत् मकरस्थो रविः प्रभुः।

उत्तरायणे महापुण्यं सर्वपापप्रणाशनम्॥”
