The empowerment of women is an important pre-condition for the development of humanity. Empowerment of women is an issue close to the heart of several people such as Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda. In the last eleven years under the pro-people, pro-active leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, the Gujarat Government has taken a series of steps to further integrate women into the development journey of Gujarat, politically, economically and socially. These initiatives taken by the state Government combine vision, innovation and effective implementation.
On International Women’s Day, here are some of the initiatives of the Gujarat Government:
