Aatmanirbhar Bharat has become a mantra for 130 crore Indians: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his independence-day speech laid utmost importance to Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He said that it is not just a word but a mantra for 130 crore Indians. “Like every young adult in an Indian family is asked to be self-dependent, India as nation has embarked on the journey to be Aatmanirbhar”, said the PM.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he is extremely confident and hopeful that India will achieve that feat. He said that India will become ‘Aatmanirbhar’ because of an immense capability of every Indian, the resolve of youngsters and matchless ability of Indian women.
He said that he has immense faith in the ‘soch’(thinking) and approach of India and history is the testimony of the fact that once India decides to do something it fulfils it with vigour.

PM Modi remarked that the whole world has multiple expectations from India and we have to make sure that we live up to those expectations. Emphasising on the whole world as ‘one family’ he said that from ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ to ‘Jai Jagat’, India believes in the power of humanity and commensurate economic development.

He said that it is only possible if we strengthen our roots.
The Prime Minister added it is the need of the hour that we do value addition to our natural wealth and capitalise on our human resource. We have to stop the cycle of raw materials export and finished good import. He said, “Aatmanirbhar Bharat is visible in our agriculture sector. Gone are the days when we used to import wheat for food, but now we can provide for any needy nation in the world.”

He said that Aatmanirbhar Bharat is not only confined to imports, but it is the capability of our human resource.
For an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, PM Modi said, we have crores of Indians who have the power to provide solutions to many obstacles.
