Shri Narendra Modi meets noted cricketer Shri Kapil Dev in Gandhinagar

On the morning of 14th February 2013 Shri Narendra Modi met former Indian cricketer Shri Kapil Dev in Gandhinagar today. Shri Kapil Dev lauded the Khel Mahakumbh initiative of the Gujarat Government that seeks to promote a culture of sports and sportsman spirit among the people of Gujarat. 

In the just concluded Khel Mahakumbh 2012-2013 over 25 lakh athletes from all parts of Gujarat including over 8 lakh women and over 92,000 specially abled athletes participated in the extravaganza.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has praised float-on - float-off operation of Chennai Port which is a record and is being seen an achievement to celebrate how a ship has been transported to another country.

Replying to a tweet by Union Minister of State, Shri Shantanu Thakur, the Prime Minister tweeted :
