PM Modi sends Central team for on-the-spot-assessment of damage in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh
Team to give Report on Relief and Compensation Package

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has instructed a two-member Central Team to rush to Arunachal Pradesh for an on-the-spot-assessment of damage in the wake of the recent landslide in Tawang District. The team will comprise of a Senior Advisor in the Niti Aayog and a Joint Secretary from the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Prime Minister has directed the team to make an assessment of the nature of relief and compensation package, after holding discussions with the State and District officials and to submit a report.

The mishap took place on Sunday, 22nd April, 2016. Prime Minister has already sanctioned ex-gratia relief of Rs. 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the persons deceased and Rs. 50,000/- each to those seriously injured in the landslide in Tawang.

PM to interact with beneficiaries of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on 9th December
Programme will be joined virtually by thousands of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra beneficiaries from across the country

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will interact with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) on 9th December, 2023 at 12:30 PM via video conferencing. Prime Minister will address the gathering on the occasion.

The programme will be joined virtually by thousands of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra beneficiaries from across the country. More than two thousand VBSY vans, thousands of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and Common Service Centres (CSCs) from across the country will also be connected during the programme. A large number of Union Ministers, MPs, MLAs and local level representatives will also join the programme.

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being undertaken across the country with the aim to attain saturation of flagship schemes of the government through ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a time bound manner.
