The Prime Minister has praised Karthikeyan Murali for winning against World No. 1, Magnus Carlsen at the Qatar Masters 2023.

The Prime Minister posted on X :

"Congratulations, @KarthikeyanM64 who has excelled at the Qatar Masters 2023! His success has made India very proud.

He has achieved the incredible feat of defeating the reigning chess champion and the World No. 1, Magnus Carlsen.

May he keep up the fantastic work, and wishing him the very best for the next round."

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid homage to Parbati Giri Ji on her birth centenary today. Shri Modi commended her role in the movement to end colonial rule, her passion for community service and work in sectors like healthcare, women empowerment and culture.
