In response to a tweet by former US President, Barack Obama, the Prime Minister said;

"My best wishes @BarackObama for your quick recovery from COVID-19, and for your family's good health and wellbeing."

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has congratulated Seema on winning the Bronze medal in the Women’s Discus Throw event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026.

The Prime Minister noted that Seema secured the medal with a best throw of 58.65 metres.

Shri Modi said that her achievement has made India proud and inspired the youth of the nation. He wished her the very best for her future endeavours.
