PM congratulates H. E. Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on his election as the Prime Minister of Pakistan

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated to H. E. Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on his election as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Shri Modi has said that India desires peace and stability in a region free of terror so that both countries can focus on its development challenges.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;

"Congratulations to H. E. Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on his election as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. India desires peace and stability in a region free of terror, so that we can focus on our development challenges and ensure the well-being and prosperity of our people."

Prime Minister pays homage to brave participants of the Quit India Movement

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has remembered all those who participated in the historic Quit India Movement and paid tribute to their courage and determination in India’s freedom struggle. Shri Modi said that inspired by the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, the clarion call of the Quit India Movement infused new energy into the freedom struggle and reflected the unwavering resolve of the people of India to break free from colonial rule.
