Announces ex gratia

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed grief on the tragedy in Ludhiana due to a gas leak.

The Prime Minister also announced ex gratia for the deceased and injured.

The Prime Minister Office tweeted :

"Expressing grief on the tragedy in Ludhiana due to a gas leak, PM @narendramodi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF for the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000."

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam today, highlighting the virtues of instilling fearlessness and saving lives.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

"अभयस्यैव यो दाता तस्यैव सुमहत्फलम् ।

न हि प्राणसमं दानं त्रिषु लोकेषु विद्यते ॥"

Whoever takes away people's fear receives great blessings, and in all three worlds, there is no greater gift than saving a life.
