Prime Minister Meets Japanese PM Shinzo Abe

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit at Bangkok today. The discussions focussed on preparing the ground for India-Japan 2+2 Dialogue & Annual Summit later this year.

 

Prime Minister today shall be participating in the East Asia Summit and RCEP Summit later in the day.

Prime Minister greets everyone on Republic Day

Greeting everyone on the occasion of Republic Day, the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi remarked that today we celebrate 75 glorious years of being a Republic.

In separate posts on X, the Prime Minister said:

“Happy Republic Day.

Today, we celebrate 75 glorious years of being a Republic. We bow to all the great women and men who made our Constitution and ensured that our journey is rooted in democracy, dignity and unity. May this occasion strengthen our efforts towards preserving the ideals of our Constitution and working towards a stronger and prosperous India.”

“गणतंत्र दिवस की ढेरों शुभकामनाएं!

आज हम अपने गौरवशाली गणतंत्र की 75वीं वर्षगांठ मना रहे हैं। इस अवसर पर हम उन सभी महान विभूतियों को नमन करते हैं, जिन्होंने हमारा संविधान बनाकर यह सुनिश्चित किया कि हमारी विकास यात्रा लोकतंत्र, गरिमा और एकता पर आधारित हो। यह राष्ट्रीय उत्सव हमारे संविधान के मूल्यों को संरक्षित करने के साथ ही एक सशक्त और समृद्ध भारत बनाने की दिशा में हमारे प्रयासों को और मजबूत करे, यही कामना है।”
