The rapid strides that our country has taken during the last five years have been made possible by every precious vote supporting the BJP in 2014: PM Modi
The condition of Karnataka today has become just like the condition of the country in 2014 when corruption was endemic and governance had come to a total halt: PM Modi
I urge the people to not let the divisive agenda of the Congress and its allies prevail over our nationalist values: Prime Minister Modi

On his tour to the southern cities of Bagalkot and Chikodi to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka, Prime Minister Modi delivered a power-packed address to a massive rally of supporters today.

Thanking his voters for their overwhelming support in 2014 Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi said, “The rapid strides that our country has taken during the last five years have been made possible by every precious vote supporting the BJP in 2014. On one hand, the people have seen the ability of a strong government to transform the nation, while on the other hand, the people of Karnataka have also witnessed the unending drama that has been going on in the state government for the past few months. This drama has revenge and emotions in abundance, however, in the middle of all this ‘Natak in Karnataka’ it is the ordinary people that are suffering the most, the farmers are suffering and the poor are suffering. “

Tearing on the ruling JD(S)-Congress combine for endemic corruption and ineffective governance in Karnataka, Prime Minister Modi said, “The condition of Karnataka today has become just like the condition of the country in 2014 when corruption was endemic and governance had come to a total halt. The Congress led government was on the way to create a world-record in its number of scams like Helicopter Scam, 2G Scam and Commonwealth Scams. The ‘Maha-Milawati’ parties like the Congress and JD(S) are not bothered about the people, their only concern is to enrich themselves and appease their vote-banks. The nation has recognized and understood the divisive politics of Opposition parties like the Congress and JD(S) and that is why they are no longer trusted by the people.”

Urging his supporters to vote and support the BJP in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections to transform the condition of Karnataka led by a opportunist and corrupt government to that of a government that is people-centric and transparent, PM Modi said, “I appeal to the people of Karnataka to vote for the BJP and strengthen democracy in the state in order to not let parties like Congress and JD(S) not divide the people on the basis of their faith or community like they tried during the Assembly elections last year. I urge the people to not let the divisive agenda of the Congress and its allies prevail over our nationalist values. The neither care for the farmer nor the soldier, they are bothered neither about the plight of the poor nor about the worries of the middle class. The sole reason for their opportunistic alliance is to keep Modi out of power and then indulge in corruption without any accountability. However, I assure my people that as long as this ‘Chowkidar’ (PM Modi) is there, such actions will not be tolerated at all.”
