PM meets Ban Ki-moon at the UN headquarters

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon before his address to the 69th session of the UN General Assembly.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of involving nations which contribute troops to UN peacekeeping missions, in the decision-making process. He also emphasized the urgent need for UN reform, as the organization approaches its 70th anniversary.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with His Majesty King Abdullah II, the King of Jordan.

The Prime Minister conveyed deep concern at the evolving situation in the region. He reaffirmed support for the peace, security, and well-being of the people of Jordan.

The Prime Minister also thanked His Majesty for taking care of the Indian community in Jordan in this difficult hour.

The Prime Minister shared on X;
