The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today addressed the 80th anniversary celebrations of the Brahma Kumaris family, via video conferencing.

Welcoming the delegates to the International Conference and Cultural Festival from India and abroad, the Prime Minister paid his respects to Dada Lekhraj, the founder of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishvariya Vishvidyalaya. He also praised Dadi Janki ji, describing her as a true Karma Yogi, who continues to serve society even at the age of 100 years.

The Prime Minister appreciated the work done by the Brahma Kumaris institution in many fields, including in solar energy. He called for expanding the use of digital transactions to bring down corruption.

The Prime Minister also touched upon themes such as Swachh Bharat, and LED lighting, and spoke of their benefits.

PM Modi addressed the 80th anniversary celebrations of Brahma Kumaris via video conferencing. The PM said that Brahma Kumar and Kumaris have spread the message of India's rich culture throughout the world. Laying out India's commitment towards clean energy, the PM said, "By 2030, India aims to generate 40% energy from non-fossil fuels. By 2022, our aim is to ensure 175 GW of clean energy. He also urged people to further the use of digital transactions and make the system more transparent.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, the King of Cambodia, who is on his maiden State visit to India from 29-31 May 2023, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan today.

Prime Minister and His Majesty, King Sihamoni underscored the deep civilizational ties, strong cultural and people-to-people connect between both countries.

Prime Minister assured His Majesty of India’s resolve to strengthen the bilateral partnership with Cambodia across diverse areas including capacity building. His Majesty thanked the Prime Minister for India’s ongoing initiatives in development cooperation, and conveyed his appreciation and best wishes for India’s Presidency of G-20.
