PM Modi Reiterates Nine Resolutions for Society and Nation

Jai Jinendra!

On this sacred occasion, I first bow at the feet of our source of inspiration, revered Bhuwanbhanusurishwar Ji Maharaj. I also extend my respects to Prasantmurti Suvishal Gachchadhipati Pujya Shrimad Vijay Rajendrasurishwar Ji Maharaj, Pujya Gachchadhipati Shri Kalpatarusurishwar Ji Maharaj, Saraswati Kripapatra Param Pujya Acharya Bhagwant Shrimad Vijayaratnasundarsurishwar Ji Maharaj, and all the saints and sadhvis present at this ceremony.

I warmly acknowledge all members of the Urja Mahotsav Committee, including Shri Kumarpalbhai Shah, Kalpeshbhai Shah, Sanjaybhai Shah, and Kaushikbhai Sanghvi, and extend my greetings to them. Revered saints, today we are blessed to witness the release of the 500th book of Shrimad Vijayaratna Sundar Surishwar Ji Maharaj. Maharaj Sahib has not confined knowledge to scriptures alone, but has lived it and inspired others to bring it into their lives. His personality is a remarkable blend of restraint, simplicity, and clarity. When he writes, his words carry the depth of experience; when he speaks, his voice carries the power of compassion; and even in silence, he provides guidance. The subject of his 500th book, “Premnu Vishva, Vishvano Prem” (The World of Love, The Love of the World), speaks volumes in itself. I am confident that our society, our youth, and humanity at large will benefit from this creation. On this special occasion, the Urja Mahotsav will spread a new energy of thought among people. I extend my congratulations to all of you.

Friends, Maharaj Sahib’s 500 works are like a vast ocean filled with countless gems of thought. These books provide simple and spiritual solutions to humanity’s many problems. Depending on time and circumstance, each text serves as a beacon of guidance. The teachings of non-violence, non-possessiveness, and many-sidedness, along with love, tolerance, and harmony, imparted by our Tirthankaras and earlier Acharyas, can be seen in modern and contemporary form in these writings. Especially today, when the world is struggling with division and conflict, “Premnu Vishva, Vishvano Prem” is not just a book, it is a mantra. This mantra introduces us to the power of love and shows us the path to the peace and harmony that the world so desperately seeks.

Friends,

The guiding principle of our Jain philosophy is “Parasparopagraho Jivanam” — meaning every life is connected to another. When we understand this principle, our vision shifts from the individual to the collective. We rise above personal aspirations and begin to think of the goals of society, the nation, and humanity. With this same spirit, you will recall, I had joined you on the occasion of Navkar Mantra Day. On that historic occasion, all four sects had come together, and I had made nine appeals, nine resolutions. Today’s occasion is also an opportunity to reiterate them.

The first resolution — to save water.
The second — to plant a tree in the name of one’s mother.
The third — the mission of cleanliness.
The fourth — vocal for local.
The fifth — Bharat Darshan.
The sixth — to adopt natural farming.
The seventh — to embrace a healthy lifestyle.
The eighth — to bring yoga and sports into daily life.
The ninth — to commit to helping the poor.

Friends,

Today India is among the youngest nations in the world. Our youth power is building a developed India while also strengthening our cultural roots. In this transformation, the guidance of saints like Maharaj Sahib, his literature, and his words — always enriched by deep spiritual practice — play a vital role. Once again, I express my gratitude to him and extend best wishes for his 500th book. I am confident that his thoughts will continue to illuminate India’s intellectual, moral, and human journey.

I must also seek your forgiveness. I truly wished to come in person and had planned for it long ago, but as you know, circumstances arose that prevented me from being among you and having your darshan. Yet it is Maharaj Sahib’s grace that he understood my difficulty and gave me the opportunity to connect with you through this video message, to meet you and speak with you. For this too, I am deeply grateful to him.

Jai Jinendra!

Cabinet approves integration and continuation of two schemes under umbrella scheme SARTHAK-PDS
May 27, 2026
Centre to spend Rs. 25,530 crore in next 5 years for SARTHAK PDS
Continuation of schemes to ensure last-mile delivery of Food grains with higher FPS Dealers’ commission
Government strive for intelligently optimized PDS operations through advanced technologies to ensure transparency, security and sustainability in PDS operations

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the continuation of the “Scheme for Assistance in Ration Transport and Handling-Income with Automation in PDS” (SARTHAK PDS) as an umbrella scheme, in the 16th Finance Commission cycle award period, with an outlay of Rs. 25,530 crore as Central share.

The CCEA has also decided to revise the norms of Central assistance for meeting expenditure incurred by States/UTs intra-state movement & handling of foodgrains and FPS dealers’ margin and continuation of the existing funding pattern of Central Assistance.

The Scheme is conceived as an umbrella scheme integrating the ongoing schemes: (i) “Assistance to State Agencies for intra-State movement of foodgrains and FPS dealers’ margin under NFSA” and (ii) “Scheme for Modernization and Reforms through Technology in Public Distribution System (SMART PDS)” to comprehensively strengthen implementation of the National Food Security Act, 2013 (NFSA).

SARTHAK-PDS Scheme aims to provide (a) assured financial support for intra-State movement, handling and FPS dealer’s margin, and (b) a unified, citizen-centric, intelligent and interoperable PDS architecture that ensures last-mile service delivery, minimizes leakages and strengthens the nation’s commitment to food security under NFSA, with the merged scheme to operate up to 31.03.2031.

SARTHAK-PDS Scheme seeks to modernize, integrate and intelligently optimize PDS operations through advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Blockchain, by creating standardized architectures and unified databases for real-time monitoring, AI-driven grievance and analytics systems, State Command Control Centres for data-driven oversight, and ISO-certified process frameworks to ensure transparency, security and sustainability in PDS operations.

Government of India has a social & legal commitment to the people of the nation - a dignified life by ensuring them access to food and nutritional security through the availability of adequate quantities of quality food grains. The Scheme will work towards fulfilling the Government of India's commitment to 81.35 crore persons covered under NFSA. Building on the statutory and policy framework, SARTHAK-PDS retains and streamlines the financial assistance component while simultaneously embedding it within a modern, technology-driven PDS ecosystem.

Over the past decade, the Government has implemented multiple digitization initiatives such as End-to-End Computerization of TPDS, Integrated Management of PDS (IM-PDS) and SMART PDS, along with citizen-facing applications like Mera Ration, Anna Mitra, Rightful Targeting Dashboard and Anna Sahayata, and since 1st April 2023, the SMART PDS scheme has acted as the cornerstone of technology-led reforms by enabling complete digitization of ration cards, Aadhaar seeding, FPS automation through e-PoS, online allocation and computerized supply-chain management across 36 States/UTs.
