Prime Minister condoles the demise of Thiru Kumari Ananthan

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the demise of veteran leader Thiru Kumari Ananthan.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said;

“Thiru Kumari Ananthan Ji will be remembered for his noteworthy service to society and passion towards Tamil Nadu’s progress. He also made many efforts to popularise Tamil language and culture. Pained by his passing away. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”

"திரு குமரி அனந்தன் அவர்கள், மதிப்புமிகு சமூக சேவைக்காகவும், தமிழ்நாட்டின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்கான ஆர்வத்திற்காகவும் நினைவுகூரப்படுவார். தமிழ் மொழியையும், கலாச்சாரத்தையும் பிரபலப்படுத்துவதற்காகவும் அவர் பல முயற்சிகளை மேற்கொண்டார். அவரது மறைவு வேதனையளிக்கிறது. அவரது குடும்பத்தினருக்கும், தொண்டர்களுக்கும் இரங்கல்கள். ஓம் சாந்தி."

UK Foreign Secretary meets Prime Minister

UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper today met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

The Prime Minister expressed his pleasure upon the meeting and appreciated the deepening of the India-UK partnership in recent times which has unlocked unprecedented growth opportunities for both countries.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the India-UK Vision 2035 will continue to guide the partnership and strengthen joint efforts for the global good.
