As the BJP-led NDA government completes three years in power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a huge public meeting in Guwahati, Assam.

PM Modi opined that by 2022, we want to double our farmers' income. Through 'Sampada Yojana' we want to ensure value addition of agri-products.

Prime Minister Modi noted that for the first time, we have taken a step to uplift the OBCs. The OBC Commission has been passed. He expressed heartfelt gratitude towards people of the country, and said that they let us form a Government, gave me opportunity as a 'Pradhan Sevak'.

He also thanked people of India who made Swachhata a mass movement and further expressed gratitude media too played a key role in furthering the message of cleanliness. The PM stated that when the government is devoted to serve the people, then the entire system too falls in place & works dedicatedly.

PM Modi emphasized that his fight against corruption and black money would continue. “Everyone wants the nation to be free from grasps of corruption. Everyone wants to lead life with Imandari.”

He further mentioned that BJP government was dedicated towards the empowerment of poor. PM Modi talked about various initiatives and schemes introduced by the Government in this regard. “Our aim is to ensure affordable healthcare for all. Stent prices have been reduced considerably,” he further added.

He urged the countrymen to join him in building the New India by 2022, when India celebrates its 75th year of Independence. “Let us all commit ourselves for the next five years to take the country to new heights. Let us build a New India,” the PM said.

Prime Minister condoles loss of lives in a mishap in Surat, Gujarat

PM announces ex-gratia from PMNRF

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today expressed deep pain over the tragic mishap in Surat district, Gujarat. He extended his heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their loved ones and prayed for the earliest recovery of the injured. The Prime Minister noted that rescue operations are underway and authorities are providing all possible assistance at the accident site.

The Prime Minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased. Shri Modi also noted that Rs. 50,000 would be provided to those who sustained injuries in the incident.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"Deeply pained to hear about a mishap in Surat district, Gujarat. My condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover at the earliest. Rescue operations are underway and authorities are providing all possible assistance at the accident site.
