Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a public meeting in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Shri Modi said that this election was about putting an end to the ‘Vanvas’ of development in the state. He further added, “This election is about making Uttar Pradesh, Uttam Pradesh.”

Prime Minister Modi launched attack at the ruling Samajwadi party in the state and said, “When Shri Akhilesh Yadav won, the expectations were huge. We thought a young CM will do well but UP is disappointed. The ruling party in Uttar Pradesh has to give an account of their work but they aren’t doing so. Instead they are asking what Modi has done. They should tell what they have done for welfare of the state.”

Citing high crime rates in Uttar Pradesh, Shri Modi remarked, “Why is it that criminals in the state do not fear any law? Women, children cannot move out of homes safely after dusk. What have the UP government done to improve the law and order situation”, questioned PM Modi.

Prime Minister expressed concern over lack of job opportunities for youth in the state. Shri Modi said that BJP Government is committed to ensure employment opportunities for youth of Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minster Modi said that corruption had badly gripped the state and BJP Government was committed to rid Uttar Pradesh of its troubles. He added, “Our Government eliminated interview process for class III and IV jobs. This has drastically reduced corruption.”

The Prime Minister also assured that interests of small and medium traders would be protected. Adding further PM said, “Small and medium traders in the state have to face difficulties and harassment. BJP, if voted to power, would ensure their interests are protected.”

The PM added that BJP Government would also ensure CAG audit of all municipal corporations in the state and ensure transparency.

PM Modi stated that how for long, builders in the state harassed those wanting to buy houses. The PM said, “Builders harassed citizens who were keen to buy a house. How can such things continue? A person saves money for buying a house of own. We’ve passed the Real Estate Bill that ensures protection of buyers.”

The Prime Minister expounded about Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and said that several farmers were benefitting from it. “Our Government launched the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana that ensures insurance for farmers at minimum premium. But why is it so that farmers in UP are not benefitting from it? Our Government will ensure that farmers are benefitted as soon as we come to power. He also shed light on e-NAM initiative and how farmers across the nation could benefit.

Prime Minister Modi said that Centre was committed to root out corruption and would continue to take steps in that direction. He urged people of UP to vote for a BJP Government that would ensure welfare of farmers, proper education for children, employment for youth and proper medication for the elderly.

Several BJP karyakartas and leaders attended the event.

PM announces ex-gratia from PMNRF

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today expressed anguish over the loss of lives due to the collapse of an under-construction tunnel in Namchi, Sikkim. He extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and prayed that those injured recover at the earliest.

The Prime Minister announced that an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. Shri Modi stated that the injured would be given Rs. 50,000.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister shared:

"Anguished by the loss of lives due to the collapse of an under-construction tunnel in Namchi, Sikkim. I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I pray that those injured recover at the earliest.
