In the run up to the Rajasthan Assembly Elections Shri Narendra Modi addressed 4 large rallies across the state. Shri Modi spoke at Banswara, Chittorgarh, Anta and Kota. Shri Modi directly challenged the Congress and the Rajasthan Government led by Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot to answer the people on what they have done in the last five years instead of making allegations against others to hide their misdeeds. Shri Modi also said that the nation has seen through these games of the Congress and they are not going to accept this any longer. Shri Modi urged the people to vote for the BJP in the State Elections and make Smt. Vasundhara Raje ji the Chief Minister of the state.
Speaking in Kota, Shri Narendra Modi said that he has come to a โMini Indiaโ where youngsters from all over the nation come for coaching classes. He talked about the importance of skill development and the need to promote it and went of to criticize the lack of vision shown by the Centre in doing so. Shri Modi also pointed that India can give skilled manpower to the world if the right steps are taken. Shri Modi came down heavily on Centreโs inability to tackle price rise and said it is because they can neither think in the right direction nor act. He urged the people to sever their links with the Congress that has betrayed them.
Shri Modi wonderfully exposed the Congressโ false sympathy for the poor, saying that the Congress Vice President prefers to go to the homes of poor across India with media and cameramen in tow but near the Congress Vice Presidentโs residence, which falls in the constituency of Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dixit there is a Jhuggi with poor sanitation facilities. โThey see the poor only where there are camerapersons but not the poor in their vicinity,โ Shri Modi affirmed.
Reacting to the UPA Chairpersonโs statement likening the BJP to poison, Shri Modi stated, โWhy is it that they remember poison when they are in Rajasthan?โ Reminding the people of the โpower is poisonโ statement earlier this year, Shri Modi further elaborated, โWho has been in power for the longest duration? Who has tasted poison the most? So who can spread the poison? It is the Congress Party!โ
Shri Modi was critical of the Congress Party for betraying the people by being unable to fulfill the promises made to them. He asked the Congress what happened to the Congressโ promise of bringing down prices in 100 days?

In Banswara, Shri Modi talked about the rich contribution of the tribal communities in Indiaโs history and their importance in Indiaโs culture. Shri Modi also brought out the Congressโ apathy towards the tribal communities and questioned the party on why it did not create a separate department for tribal affairs when it should have been done the moment India attained freedom. Shri Modi said that it was former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee who created a separate department for the tribal communities and devoted a separate budget dedicated for their welfare. Shri Modi opined that the poor, the marginalized sections of society are not people but voters in the eyes of the Congress and that explains their lack of concern.
