ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಯವರು ಇಂದು ನವದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ 400 ನೇ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವದ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ‘ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೊರ್ಫುಕನ್ - ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ಹೀರೋ ವು ಹಾಲ್ಟೆಡ್, ʼದಿ ಮೊಘಲ್ʼ’ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಆಜ್ಞಾತ ವೀರರನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ತ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ, ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ಅಹೋಮ್ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸೈನ್ಯದ  ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ದಂಡನಾಯಕರಾದ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೊರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ 400 ನೇ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲು ಇಂದಿನ ಸಂದರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೊರ್ಫುಕನ್ ರವರ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಔರಂಗಜೇಬನ  ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ  ಮೊಘಲರನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿ ಮೊಘಲರ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿತು.

ಸಭೆಯನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ವೀರ್ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಅವರಂತಹ ವೀರ ಪುತ್ರರನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. “ಶೌರ್ಯಶಾಲಿ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೊರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ 400ನೇ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಂದು ನಾವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಅವರು ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು

ದೇಶವು 'ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ  ಅಮೃತ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ'ವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತವು ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ 400 ನೇ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ" ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ವೀರ್ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಅವರ ಸಾಹಸವು ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯ ಎಂದು ಬಣ್ಣಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು, "ಭಾರತದ ಸನಾತನ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಶೌರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಈ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಂದಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಗುಲಾಮಗಿರಿಯ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ತೊಡೆದುಹಾಕಲು ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಪಡುವ ಭಾರತದ ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಪುನರುಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರು. ಭಾರತವು ತನ್ನ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವುದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ತನ್ನ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಆಜ್ಞಾತ ವೀರರು ಮತ್ತು ನಾಯಕಿಯರನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರಂತಹ ತಾಯಿ ಭಾರತಿಯ ಅಮರ ಪುತ್ರರು ಅಮೃತ ಕಾಲದ ನಿರ್ಣಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಲು ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಗುರುತು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಮಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತವೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ”ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಹೇಳಿದರು. 

"ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದ ಸಾವಿರ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ", ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಲವಾರು ನಾಗರಿಕತೆಗಳಿದ್ದವು, ಅನೇಕವು ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿತ್ತು, ಆದರೆ ಕಾಲಚಕ್ರವು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಉರುಳಿಸಿತು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಇತರ ನಾಗರಿಕತೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತದ ನಡುವಿನ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು, ಇಂದು ಜಗತ್ತು ಅಂತಹ ನಾಗರಿಕತೆಗಳ ಅವಶೇಷಗಳ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಪ್ರತಿಕೂಲತೆಯನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿದ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದೇಶಿ ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರರ ಊಹೆಗೂ ಮೀರಿದ ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದನೆಯನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿದ ಭಾರತದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ಇಂದಿಗೂ ಅಮರವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.. ಬಿಕ್ಕಟ್ಟು ಬಂದಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅದನ್ನು ನಿಭಾಯಿಸಲು ಕೆಲವು ಮಹಾನ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇದು ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತು. ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಂತರು ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು ಭಾರತದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಬಂದರು. ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರಂತಹ ಧೈರ್ಯಶಾಲಿಗಳು ಮತಾಂಧತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭಯೋತ್ಪಾದನೆಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜೀವನದ ಅಮರ ಬೆಳಕು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ತೋರಿಸಿದರು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಕು ಚೆಲ್ಲುವ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು, ಇದು ಭಾರತದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಇದು ಚಿಂತನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತ, ಸಮಾಜ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಮತ್ತು ನಂಬಿಕೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳ ಸಮ್ಮಿಲನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ಮತ್ತು ಈಶಾನ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದವರ ಅಪ್ರತಿಮ ಶೌರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು, ಈ ನೆಲದ ಜನರು ತುರ್ಕರು, ಆಫ್ಘನ್ನರು ಮತ್ತು ಮೊಘಲರನ್ನು ಹಲವಾರು ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಮ್ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.  ಮೊಘಲರು ಗುವಾಹಟಿಯನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಹ, ಮೊಘಲ್ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯದ ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತಗಾರರ ಹಿಡಿತದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರಂತಹ ಧೈರ್ಯಶಾಲಿಗಳು,  ವೀರ್ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರು ಸಾರೈಘಾಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿದ ಶೌರ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಮಾತೃಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಅಪ್ರತಿಮ ಪ್ರೇಮದ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಡೀ ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಒಂದುಗೂಡಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿತ್ತು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದರೆ ಮಾತೃಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. " ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ ಶೌರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ಭಯತೆ ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ಗುರುತಾಗಿದೆ" ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಹೊಗಳಿದರು.

"ಭಾರತದ ಇತಿಹಾಸವು ಕೇವಲ ಗುಲಾಮಗಿರಿಯಲ್ಲ", "ಭಾರತದ ಇತಿಹಾಸವು ವಿಜಯೋತ್ಸವವಾಗಿದೆ, ಇದು ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಮಹಾಪುರುಷರ ಶೌರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನಿಂತಿದೆ " ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. “ದುರದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್, ಗುಲಾಮಗಿರಿಯ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿತೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬರೆಯಲಾದ ಅದೇ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ ನಂತರವೂ ನಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ ನಂತರ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗುಲಾಮರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಿದೇಶಿಯರ  ಕಾರ್ಯಸೂಚಿಯನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿತ್ತು, ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ”ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲೂ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತೀವ್ರ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧದ ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಹತ್ತಿಕ್ಕಲಾಯಿತು. “ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ದಮನದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ವಿಜಯದ ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ಕಥೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಆ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಹಿನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತರದ ತಪ್ಪನ್ನು ಈಗ ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಈ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದ ಕನ್ನಡಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ತನ್ನ ವೀರರ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ವೀರರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲು ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಮಾರಕದಂತಹ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು   ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿದರು. ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ತ್ಯಾಗ, ಶೌರ್ಯದ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಅರಿಯಲು ಇಂತಹ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿವೆ ಎಂದರು. ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು “ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೊರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ ಜೀವನವು ‘ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಮೊದಲು’ ಎಂಬ ಮಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬದುಕಲು ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವರ ಜೀವನವು ನಾವು ಸ್ವಯಂಗಿಂತ ಮೇಲೇರಲು ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹಿತಾಸಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ವಜನಪಕ್ಷಪಾತ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜವಂಶಾಡಳಿತದ ಬದಲು ದೇಶವು ಸರ್ವಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರ ಜೀವನ ನಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ವೀರ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೊರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ ಜೀವನದಿಂದ ನಿದರ್ಶನಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು, "ಯಾವುದೇ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಅಥವಾ ಸಂಬಂಧವು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೇಲಲ್ಲ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಒಂದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವು ತನ್ನ ವಾಸ್ತವವಾದ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅದು ತನ್ನ ಅನುಭವಗಳಿಂದ ಕಲಿಯಬಹುದು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸರಿಯಾದ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ನಮ್ಮ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆಲವು ದಶಕಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಶತಮಾನಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗಿರದೆ ಇಡುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಭಾರತ ರತ್ನ ಭೂಪೇನ್ ಹಜಾರಿಕಾ ಅವರ ಸಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು, ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ನೈಜ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಾವು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಚಿತ್ರಣವನ್ನು ನೀಡಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಛತ್ರಪತಿ ಶಿವಾಜಿ ಮಹಾರಾಜರ ಮಾದರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿ ದೇಶದ ಮೂಲೆ ಮೂಲೆಗೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಇದು ‘ಏಕ ಭಾರತ, ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಭಾರತ’ದ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡಲಿದೆ. “ನಾವು ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಈಶಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಭಾರತದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ವೀರ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ 400 ನೇ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ಚೈತನ್ಯವು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವು ತನ್ನ ಗುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಖಾತ್ರಿಯಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿದರು.

ಸಮಾರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಭವನದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಪ್ರಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಲಾದ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ದೃಶ್ಯಾವಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನಾಧರಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು ನಂತರ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರು ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಿ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ  ಪುಷ್ಪ ನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.

ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರಾದ  ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಗದೀಶ್ ಮುಖಿ, ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಡಾ.ಹಿಮಂತ ಬಿಸ್ವಾ ಶರ್ಮಾ, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ಶ್ರೀ ಸರ್ಬಾನಂದ ಸೋನೋವಾಲ್, ಸಂಸದರಾದ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ (ನಿವೃತ್ತ) ರಂಜನ್ ಗೊಗೊಯ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಟೋಪೋನ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಗೊಗೊಯ್, ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಇತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. 

ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ

ಆಜ್ಞಾತ ವೀರರನ್ನು  ಸೂಕ್ತ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವಿಸುವುದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ, ದೇಶವು 2022 ಅನ್ನು ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅವರ 400 ನೇ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ವರ್ಷದ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದಿನ ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮ್ ನಾಥ್ ಕೋವಿಂದ್ ಅವರು ಗುವಾಹಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು..

ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ (24 ನವೆಂಬರ್ 1622 - 25 ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 1672) ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ಅಹೋಮ್ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ದಂಡನಾಯಕರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಮೊಘಲರನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಔರಂಗಜೇಬ್  ನೇತೃತ್ವದ  ಮೊಘಲರ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ತಡೆದರು. 1671 ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸರೈಘಾಟ್ ಕದನದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಸಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಅಸ್ಸಾಮಿ ಸೈನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಮೊಘಲರನ್ನು ಹೀನಾಯವಾಗಿ ಸೋಲಿಸಿದರು. ಲಚಿತ್ ಬೋರ್ಫುಕನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ವೀರೋಚಿತ ಹೋರಾಟವು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಸೈನ್ಯದ  ಸಾಹಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive public meeting in Barpeta, as election campaigning in Assam gathered strong momentum. Addressing an enthusiastic crowd, PM Modi highlighted the vision of a self-reliant and Viksit Assam, while underscoring the NDA government’s commitment to peace, prosperity and inclusive growth.

Opening his address on a confident note, the PM said, “The people of Assam have made two things certain this time- first, the BJP-NDA government will return for a third term in the state and second, the Congress will continue its record of defeats.” Amid loud chants of ‘Aakou Ebaar… BJP Shorkar’ he said the massive turnout in Barpeta reflected the public’s clear mood.

He stated, “On BJP Foundation Day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to every karyakarta and every person connected with the BJP family. With the mantra of Nation First, we are dedicated to the service of Maa Bharati. Our resolve is to build an Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

Emphasising the theme of Atmanirbhar Assam, Viksit Assam, PM Modi drew a sharp contrast between the BJP and the Congress. “Congress has never worked with a long-term vision. It focuses on short-term gains, often driven by corruption. The BJP, on the other hand, works with a clear and long-term vision for development,” he said. He added that the past decade laid the foundation of peace and stability in Assam, while the coming years would expand prosperity and self-reliance.

Highlighting Assam’s growing potential, PM Modi said improved connectivity and infrastructure are boosting tourism and economic opportunities. Referring to the region’s cultural and spiritual significance, he noted that places like Maa Kamakhya and Manas National Park are attracting increasing attention.

Focusing on farmers, PM Modi shared key achievements of the government. “Today, the MSP for paddy has increased significantly compared to earlier years and our government has ensured record procurement. In the last ten years, we have given four times more MSP to farmers than before 2014,” he said. He also announced that Assam’s Joha rice has begun exports to international markets like the UK and Italy, calling it a moment of pride for local farmers.

On women empowerment, he highlighted several welfare initiatives. “From housing and sanitation to free gas connections and financial inclusion, our schemes have empowered crores of women. Under the Lakhpati Didi initiative, nearly three crore women have become financially empowered,” he said.
He also reiterated the government’s commitment to women’s reservation, urging political parties to support the initiative unanimously.

PM Modi added, “Therefore, our government has called a special session from 16 April to make the necessary amendments. But some people are trying to spread confusion even about this noble work.
No state will suffer any loss because of this. The representation of those states that have worked to control population will not be reduced.”

Addressing the issue of tribal welfare and peace in the Northeast, PM Modi criticised the Congress for decades of neglect. “For years, tribal areas suffered from poverty and violence. Today, we are witnessing a new era of peace and development in the Northeast,” he said, adding that thousands of youth have been brought into the mainstream through peace efforts.

On national security, the PM accused the Congress of undermining the armed forces.
“While our forces have shown unmatched bravery, Congress has often echoed the narrative of our adversaries,” he remarked. He also highlighted the implementation of One Rank One Pension (OROP), noting that over ₹1.24 lakh crore has been disbursed to ex-servicemen.

Raising concerns about Assam’s identity and security, PM Modi alleged that Congress policies had enabled illegal encroachments and weakened local interests. “The BJP-NDA government is committed to protecting Assam’s identity and securing its future,” he asserted, urging voters to remain vigilant.

In his concluding remarks, the Prime Minister called for maximum voter participation. “The time for voting is here. In the coming days, we must work with full dedication to secure victory at every booth,” he said. He also extended Bohag Bihu greetings and urged people to share his best wishes with others.
