Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed public meetings in Jaunpur and Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi highlighted the special friendship of BJP with the people of Jaunpur. PM Modi iterated that people should ensure that the BJP remains in power for the development to continue in the state. PM Modi said, “These ‘Pariwarvadis’ had left the people of Purvanchal without any support. This is the first time after independence when the voice of the people of Purvanchal is resonating strongly from Delhi to Lucknow.”

PM Modi spoke on how the BJP government is winning the hearts of the people of UP. PM Modi said “Policy, Intentions, Loyalty & Leadership…these are the reasons”. PM Modi further added the intentions of BJP is one of all-inclusiveness, the policies are one to reach the right and the last beneficiary available, loyalty is towards the welfare of the citizens and the leadership is one that is honest, capable and sensitive to the poor. PM Modi also brought people’s attention to how Jaunpur was in the clutches of the Mafia earlier where they burnt the houses of the poor.

Talking about the Double Engine Sarkar’s efforts during the pandemic, PM Modi said, “Our government sent money directly to the bank accounts of our mothers-sisters, farmers, labourers in times of their need. When the poor, dalits and backward families needed ration, we started the scheme of giving free ration to all”. PM Modi also iterated on India’s vaccination drive and how the opposition had defamed the Made-in-India vaccine, making the crisis far more serious.

Hitting out at the opposition, PM Modi said “These gross ‘Pariwarvadis’ can never fulfil the dreams of the poor. The single motto of these ‘Mafiawaadi’ people is to loot UP and crush the dreams of the poor”. PM Modi added, “5 years ago, I used to send letters to them (opposition) from Delhi asking them to work fast on the housing for the poor but they were busy filling their own safes”. PM Modi further said that during 2012-17, only 1 house in urban areas of Jaunpur was built, but under BJP government since 2017, 30,000 houses have been sanctioned and 15000 have already been built. These houses also have toilets, gas connections, electricity connections and tap water.

PM Modi talked about the changing landscape of health infrastructure in Jaunpur. PM Modi said, “We have given the facility of free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, and we are building big hospitals. When Jaunpur Medical College starts serving fully, then the poor, dalits, backward and middle class will benefit the most”. PM Modi also spoke on how the fees for private medical colleges are being trimmed to keep them at par with the government medical colleges.

Also, PM Modi addressed how electricity is now available 24/7 in the district and how the aspirations of all people living in UP can only be realised through the efforts of the Double Engine Sarkar.

The campaigning in Uttar Pradesh has gained momentum as Prime Minister Modi addressed two mega rallies in Jaunpur and Chandauli. Addressing his second public meeting in Chandauli, PM Modi said, “In the last 7 years, BJP has done two big things which have changed the politics of the country. The first thing is that instead of vote bank politics, we have started politics of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. Secondly, instead of making empty announcements, we took the government schemes to the poor who need them the most.”

Training his guns on the opposition, PM Modi said, “These Parivarwadis are still stuck in the old politics of alliance with some politicians and mafias. But the BJP's alliance is with lakhs of poor, dalits, backwards of Chandauli, whom we did not allow to go hungry during the corona pandemic. To whom we are ensuring free ration for the last 2 years.”

He further added, “BJP's alliance is with every citizen of Chandauli, to whom we have vaccinated against Covid-19 for free. BJP's alliance is with those 14,000 poor families of Chandauli, to whom we have given a pucca house. BJP's alliance is with those 2.5 lakh poor sisters and daughters of Chandauli, to whom we have provided free gas connections.”

Talking about farmers’ welfare, PM Modi remarked, “Our government is taking full care of the needs of the farmers. Wheat and paddy were procured from only 12,000 farmers of Chandauli when these ghastly dynasts were in power. But Yogi ji's government has bought paddy and wheat from about 50,000 farmers. For whatever purchase is being done, the money goes directly into the bank account of the farmers. Also, under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, about 400 crore rupees have been deposited in the bank account of the farmers of Chandauli. Over 2 lakh small farmers here were benefitted from this scheme.” PM Modi also talked about the benefits farmers are getting from the sale of black rice.

Concluding his speech in Chandauli, PM Modi said, “This time Holi starts from 10th March, for this you all have to get together. You have to vote for BJP and its allies in large numbers in the upcoming phase of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.”
