In 5 years of Congress rule in Chhattisgarh, only children and relatives of ruling party leaders benefited, not the poor: PM Modi
BJP's resolution is to bring Chhattisgarh among top states in country and protect interests of poor, tribals and backward: PM Modi
Development cannot take place wherever there is Congress, says PM Modi in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker
When the BJP decided to make 'daughter from a tribal family' the candidate for President of the country, Congress disrespected and ran campaigns against her: PM Modi

Addressing the ‘Vijay Sankalp Maharally’ in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “BJP's resolve is to strengthen Chhattisgarh identity. BJP's resolve is to protect the interests of every poor, tribal and backward people. BJP's resolve is to bring Chhattisgarh among the top states of the country. Development cannot take place wherever there is Congress.”

PM Modi remarked, "Over the past 5 years, you've witnessed the shortcomings of the Congress government. During this time, the residences, bungalows, and vehicles of Congress leaders have seen significant growth. Unfortunately, only the children of Congress leaders and their relatives reaped the benefits during this period."

Talking about the development schemes initiated by the centre, PM Modi emphasized, "The BJP government's foremost concern is the well-being of the poor. We are committed to safeguarding both your current and future interests. Therefore, whatever schemes the BJP government at the Center has implemented during the last 9 years, their aim remains the same – the welfare of the poor.”

Slamming the Congress party, The PM said, “It is decided to build lakhs of houses for lakhs of poor families of Chhattisgarh. But the Congress government here is not allowing them to be built. BJP government made a scheme to provide free ration for you. But Congress made a scam in this scheme also in Chhattisgarh.”

PM Modi mentioned that he launched the initiative to establish quality hospitals in every village through the Ayushman Bharat scheme right from Bastar. “Today, these healthcare facilities are commonly referred to as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs by people across the nation. Thousands of such Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have also been established in Chhattisgarh,” he said.

Addressing the huge gathering, PM Modi asserted, “Modi's guarantee means guarantee of fulfillment of every guarantee. Only Congress leaders can do the work of making false announcement by swearing on Ganga ji. We have completed the tasks which seemed impossible till 9 years ago, because Modi had guaranteed them. We have also ensured reservation for women in Lok Sabha and Assembly. We are also asking those sections of the society which no one asked before. Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana, every Vishwakarma Sathi will be given financial assistance of thousands of rupees.”

Criticizing the Congress for its stance against tribal communities, PM Modi remarked that, for the very first time in the nation's history, the BJP took the decision to make the daughter of a tribal family the President. However, the Congress also opposed her. This objection by the Congress was not directed towards the BJP but rather aimed at the tribal daughter. Every tribal of Chhattisgarh has to always remember this insult and punish the Congress.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the BJP government addressed the longstanding demand of the Mhara-Mahara community by granting them Scheduled Caste (SC) status. “Additionally, the BJP government has opened doors for the future of 12 communities by extending Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to them. It is our government that conferred constitutional recognition upon the OBC Commission,” he added.

Highlighting the Congress's misleading assertions, PM Modi noted, “The Congress has asserted the initiation of over 300 Govardhan plants in Chhattisgarh. However, upon verification by the Central Government, it was revealed that approximately 250 Govardhan plants are fraudulent and no longer operational.”

Taking a dig at Congress, PM Modi said, “Half a decade ago, the Congress made a resounding pledge to eradicate alcohol consumption, but your concerns persist. Your income is being plundered, and your children's welfare is at stake. Instead of keeping their promise, the Congress government was involved in a liquor scandal, ultimately benefiting its leaders.”

Furthermore, targeting the Congress, PM Modi said, “Only children of Congress people were admitted in the PSC exam, your children were excluded. Nepotism, nepotism and corruption, this is the policy of Congress. I am worried about your children, BJP is worried about them. That's why I will tell every youth of Chhattisgarh today. The one who looted Chhattisgarh and betrayed the youth, no matter how powerful he is, will not be spared.”

“Congress leaders used to say that if the plant is set up, maize farmers will get more money. It was said that ethanol would be made from the maize plant, but the maize plant was also put on hold. There is no one to take care of the farmers from whom the land was taken. But today the farmers of Bastar are asking – ‘Batao Kakka, Kahan Gaya Makka’,” added PM Modi while addressing his rally in Kanker.

The Prime Minister iterated, “The Congress government is negligent even in giving leases to the tribal families. The BJP government had given 5 times more leases than the number of leases given by Congress in the last 5 years. Congress is worried about the coffers of its people and for Modi you are his family. That's why we have built a steel factory in Bastar itself. This factory will provide employment to more than 1 lakh youth of Bastar.”

In his closing statement, PM Modi stated, "The BJP has fielded enthusiastic and committed candidates for every constituency across Bastar, including Kanker. These individuals are the soldiers of the Lotus, a symbol of prosperity deeply rooted in our culture. At every polling booth, it is only through votes that these BJP candidates receive the blessings, which are akin to blessings for Modi."
