Prime Minister Modi spoke at length about the measures being undertaken by the government to improve quality of life for the middle class people. He said, “It is our responsibility to think about the middle class, not only that they vote for us, but in the interest of the country.”

Citing measures like controlled rate of inflation at 2-3%, Udan Yojana under which fares of flights have been capped at Rs. 2,500, Mudra Yojana under which about 15 crore loans were sanctioned and Ayushman Bharat, which aims to provide health insurance of up to Rs. 5 lakh for the poor and vulnerable families, PM Narendra Modi stated that such initiatives directly benefit the middle class people.

Mentioning about the Awas Yojana, the PM stated that it If the middle class wanted a loan to build a house they never got relief from banks but after demonetization, loans for middle class is up to Rs. 20 lakh then they will get relief for 5 years leading to Rs. 5-6 lakh in savings.

He posted a picture of himself on X, with its caption reading:
