Disaster management mechanism in petroleum and chemicals sectors will be equipped with latest technology: Narendra Modi
Chief Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a private emergency response training centre today at Navagama village in Vaghodiya taluka, 20 km. from Vadodara. On the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed desire to equip the disaster management mechanism in petroleum and chemicals sectors with latest technology.Chief Minister said the challenges related to safety will increase with the development. But the losses can be successfully reduced with a quality disaster management system.
Mr. Modi said that Gujarat turned the time of devastating earthquake into an opportunity and enacted nation’s first disaster management law. Local bodies, municipalities and municipal corporations have been equipped with latest disaster management resources.
Congratulating the IFSDMS for imparting fire safety training for the safety of common people Chief Minister expressed resolve to promote public private partnership model in disaster management sector.
Mr. Modi also took a round to inspect the latest technology being used by the institute.
Industry leaders, office bearers of the institute and invitees were present on the occasion.
