C.M with Common-Man in Jan-Marg Express

Published By : Admin | December 25, 2009 | 10:01 IST

Given the gravity of unannounced surprise entry of Chief Minister in Jan-Marg Express, it had truly surprised and humbled all the passengers. Leaving aside all the norms of protocol and security cover, Chief Minister travelled in B.R.T.S from RTO-Circle to University-Circle, just like an ordinary passenger. He was scheduled to attend a function in Ahmedabad today at G.M.D.C, and he himself preferred to utilize B.R.T.S services to reach the venue.

As per the schedule, Chief Minister had to meet representatives of Press-Media at G.M.D.C.

He left his official residence from Gandhinagar, came up to Subhash-Bridge. All of a sudden, he asked all the vehicles and security convoy to stay back. He dropped at RTO circle, decided to pick-up Jan-Marg Express, he took ticket for G.M.D.C. As an ordinary passenger, he occupied a seat in front-raw., Minister Jaynarayan accompanied him.

Before the other passengers know about C.M’s entry in to the coach, an old lady occupied the next -seat. Passengers boarded and vacated the seats amidst enthusiasm and joy of journeying with the Chief Minister. An old lady got emotional to find Chief Minister just next to her. She expressed her feelings, “Namaskar, I always utilize B.R.T.S to pick up my daughter. I am happy that bus has never got late.”

Young girl told Chief Minister that she does not have any regrets of missing the earlier bus. Nobody would believe me! If I say that I travelled with Chief Minister! She requested Chief Minister to autograph her visiting-card. Chief Minister accepted her request and gave his autographs.

Another passenger connected his Cellular-Phone, and requested Chief Minister to talk with his wife, as she was not ready to believe that her husband is traveling with Chief Minister. Chief Minister took the mobile and asked the lady whether she can identify his voice or not? The lady responded,” Every body knows your voice; in Gujarat you would hardly find anyone who is not conversant with your voice.”

As the news got public, press and media persons, and photographers and camera-man queued up at University Bus-Stand. As the program was organised to meet media-persons had got over, without intimating anybody, Chief Minister boarded Jan-Marg Express from University Ground for RTO circle, along with Shri Saurabhbhai Patel.

When he boarded the coach, it was jam-packed, no seat was vacant. For the next two stops, he remained stander; those who recognised him had offered to vacate a seat for him. But C.M declined the offer. Students of Schools and Colleges sought autographs of Chief Minister. When a seat got vacant, Shri Saurabhbhai requested C.M to be seated. Up to R.T.O-Circle, he occupied the seat. It remained a glaring coincidence that Narendrabhai has completed a successful spell--Completed a spell of 3000 days-- of his citizen-centric governance. On the virtuous day, C.M. travelled with Common-Man in Jan-Marg Expressed, understanding hardships and joy of the people in right earnest, he preferred to pass few moments with them.
