Addressing a gathering at the BJP headquarter in New Delhi today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that elections were about ‘Lok Shikshan’ and deepening the bond between people and democracy.

Shri Narendra Modi remarked, “There are many reasons for a win but such an empathetic win after such a record turnout is special and makes everyone think. Development is always a central issue during every election. But, earlier parties were scared to fight elections on development.” He thanked people of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa and Punjab for turning out in large numbers to vote.

The Prime Minister said that a new India was rising. “A new India of the dreams of its Yuva Shakti is taking shape. A new India that fulfils aspirations of its Nari Shakti is taking shape. A new India about giving opportunities to the poor is taking shape.”

Prime Minister Modi stated that election results of five states were about assuming more responsibilities and serving the people. He added, “Power is not about posts. Power is an opportunity to serve. Generations of individuals have given their lives to build this party. They travelled all over India to make the party strong.”

Recalling the ideals of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Shri Modi remarked, “Antyodaya is integral to our work. We understand the strength of India's poor. Reposing faith in the power of the commons, Shri Modi said, “The burden on the middle class should reduce. This will enable our middle classes to shine. The strength of the poor and the aspirations of the middle class will take India to new heights.”

Prime Minister Modi also credited BJP President, Shri Amit Shah and party karyakartas for making it the largest party in the world. “Through the membership drive, the BJP has been able to become the largest political party in the world”, said Shri Modi.

The PM further added, “I am not someone who looks at things only from an election perspective. I see things for the well being of the people. In 2022 we will mark 75 years of independence. This will be a landmark moment for the nation.”

Shri Modi said that the Government is for everyone. “Government is formed with 'Bahutmat' but runs through 'Sarvamat'. Ours is a government of everyone.” 

BJP National President, Shri Amit Shah, several Union Ministers and party karyakartas attended the event.

मंच पर उपस्थित सभी महानुभाव देवियों और सज्जनों!

आज हम सबके प्रेरणास्रोत पूज्य बापू और लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जी की जन्मजयंती है। कल 1 अक्टूबर को राजस्थान सहित पूरे देश ने स्वच्छता को लेकर एक बहुत बड़ा कार्यक्रम किया है। मैं स्वच्छता अभियान को जन-आंदोलन बना देने के लिए सभी देशवासियों का आभार व्यक्त करता हूं।

साथियों,

पूज्य बापू, स्वच्छता, स्वावलंबन और सर्वस्पर्शी विकास के बहुत आग्रही थे। बीते 9 वर्षों में बापू के इन्हीं मूल्यों को देश ने बहुत अधिक विस्तार दिया है। आज चित्तौड़गढ़ में 7 हज़ार 200 करोड़ रुपए के जिन प्रोजेक्ट्स का शुभारंभ हुआ है, उसमें भी इसका प्रतिबिंब है।

साथियों,

Gas Based Economy का आधार मजबूत करने के लिए देश में गैस पाइपलाइन नेटवर्क बिछाने का अभूतपूर्व अभियान चल रहा है। मेहसाणा से भटिंडा तक भी गैस पाइपलाइन बिछाई जा रही है। इस पाइपलाइन के पाली-हनुमानगढ़ सेक्शन का आज लोकार्पण किया गया है। इससे राजस्थान में इंडस्ट्री का विस्तार होगा, हज़ारों नए रोजगार बनेंगे। इससे बहनों के किचन में पाइप से सस्ती गैस पहुंचाने का हमारा अभियान भी तेज़ होगा।

साथियों,

आज यहां रेलवे और सड़क से जुड़े महत्वपूर्ण प्रोजेक्ट्स का लोकार्पण भी हुआ है। इन सारी सुविधाओं से मेवाड़ की जनता का जीवन आसान होगा। यहां रोजगार के नए अवसर बनेंगे। ट्रिपल आईटी (IIIT) का नया कैम्पस बनने से एजुकेशन हब के रूप में कोटा की पहचान और सशक्त होगी।

साथियों,

राजस्थान वो प्रदेश है, जिसके पास अतीत की विरासत भी है, वर्तमान का सामर्थ्य भी है, और भविष्य की संभावनाएं भी हैं। राजस्थान की ये त्रिशक्ति, देश का सामर्थ्य भी बढ़ाती है। अभी यहाँ नाथद्वारा टूरिस्ट इंटरप्रिटेशन एवं कल्चरल सेंटर का लोकार्पण हुआ है। ये जयपुर में गोविंददेव जी मंदिर, सीकर में खाटूश्याम मंदिर और राजसमंद में नाथद्वारा के पर्यटन सर्किट का हिस्सा है। इससे, राजस्थान का गौरव भी बढ़ेगा और पर्यटन उद्योग को भी बहुत लाभ होगा।

साथियों,

चित्तौड़गढ़ के पास भगवान कृष्ण को समर्पित ‘सांवलिया सेठ’ मंदिर भी हम सभी की आस्था का केंद्र है। हर साल यहाँ लाखों श्रृद्धालु ‘सांवलिया सेठ’ जी के दर्शन के लिए आते हैं। व्यापारियों के बीच भी इस मंदिर का विशेष महत्त्व है। भारत सरकार ने स्वदेश दर्शन योजना के तहत सांवलिया जी के मंदिर में आधुनिक सुविधाओं को जोड़ने का काम किया है। करोड़ों रुपए खर्च करके यहां वाटर लेजर शो, टूरिस्ट फैसिलिटी सेंटर, एम्फीथिएटर, कैफेटेरिया जैसी अनेक सुविधाएं बनाई गई हैं। मुझे विश्वास है कि इससे सांवलिया सेठ के भक्तों की सहूलियत और बढ़ेगी।

साथियों,

राजस्थान का विकास, भारत सरकार के लिए बहुत बड़ी प्राथमिकता है। हमने राजस्थान में एक्सप्रेसवे, हाइवे और रेलवे जैसे आधुनिक इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर पर बहुत फोकस किया है। दिल्ली-मुंबई एक्सप्रेसवे हो, या अमृतसर-जामनगर एक्सप्रेसवे, ये राजस्थान में लॉजिस्टिक्स से जुड़े सेक्टर को नई शक्ति देने वाले हैं। अभी कुछ दिन पहले ही उदयपुर-जयपुर वंदेभारत ट्रेन भी शुरू हुई है। राजस्थान, भारतमाला परियोजना के सबसे बड़े लाभार्थियों में से भी एक महत्वपूर्ण राज्य है।

साथियों,

राजस्थान का इतिहास हमें सिखाता है कि हमें वीरता, वैभव और विकास को एक साथ लेकर आगे बढ़ना चाहिए। आज का भारत भी इसी संकल्प को लेकर आगे बढ़ रहा है। हम सबके प्रयास से, विकसित भारत के निर्माण में जुटे हैं। जो क्षेत्र, जो वर्ग, अतीत में वंचित रह गए, पिछड़े रह गए, आज उनका विकास देश की प्राथमिकता है। इसलिए बीते 5 वर्षों से देश में आकांक्षी जिला प्रोग्राम सफलता के साथ चल रहा है। मेवाड़ के, राजस्थान के भी अनेक जिलों का इस अभियान के तहत विकास किया जा रहा है। अब तो केंद्र सरकार, इस कार्यक्रम को एक कदम आगे लेकर चली गई है। अब हम आकांक्षी ब्लॉक्स की पहचान कर, उनके तेज़ विकास पर फोकस कर रहे हैं।

आने वाले समय में इस अभियान के तहत राजस्थान के भी अनेक ब्लॉक्स का विकास किया जाएगा। वंचितों को वरीयता इस संकल्प को लेकर केंद्र सरकार ने वाइब्रेंट विलेज प्रोग्राम भी शुरु किया है। जिन सीमावर्ती गांवों को इतने सालों तक आखिरी माना जाता था, अब हम उन्हें पहला गांव मानकर विकास कर रहे हैं। इसका बहुत अधिक लाभ राजस्थान के दर्जनों सीमावर्ती गांवों को मिलना तय है। मैं ऐसे ही विषयों पर अब से कुछ मिनट बाद और विस्तार से जरा खुले मैदान में बात करने का और मज़ा होता है, यहाँ कुछ बन्धनों में बंधे रहना पड़ता है तो काफी बातें वहां करूँगा। राजस्थान के विकास के हमारे संकल्पों को तेज़ी से सिद्धि मिले, इसी कामना के साथ मेवाड़ वासियों को नए प्रोजेक्ट्स के लिए अनेक-अनेक बधाई देता हूँ।
