At the invitation of Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba, PM Modi visited Japan on 29–30 August 2025 for the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit—his eighth visit to Japan and first Summit with PM Ishiba. The two leaders reviewed the Special Strategic and Global Partnership between India & Japan, and also discussed important issues.
