भोपाल की अंतिम गोंड आदिवासी शासक थीं रानी कमलापति।
यह स्टेशन 1905 में ब्रिटिश काल में बना था तब इसका नाम शाहपुर था। 1979 में स्टेशन का विस्तार हुआ, तब इसका नाम हबीबगंज रखा गया।
