PM Modi extended a warm welcome to astronaut Sunita Williams and her fellow Crew-9 members on their safe return to Earth. Applauding their resilience, he tweeted, "Welcome back, Crew-9! The Earth missed you. Theirs has been a test of grit, courage, and the boundless human spirit. Sunita Williams and her fellow astronauts have once again shown us what perseverance truly means. Their unwavering determination in the face of the vast unknown will forever inspire millions."

Ahead of Crew-9's return, in a special gesture, PM Modi penned a letter to Sunita Williams conveying the pride and gratitude of 1.4 billion Indians for her achievements. He recalled how her name came up in a conversation with astronaut Mike Massimino and how deeply India cherishes her contributions to space exploration. He highlighted that even from miles away, she remains close to the hearts of Indians, who pray for her success and well-being.

PM Modi also reminisced about his meeting with Sunita Williams in 2016, during which he acknowledged her remarkable journey. He hoped to welcome her to India soon, calling it a privilege to host one of its most illustrious daughters.

As India continues its space endeavours, Sunita Williams' journey stands as a beacon of inspiration for young dreamers, reminding us that the sky is not the limit, it’s just the beginning!

Prime Minister congratulates successful candidates of Civil Services Examination, 2025

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated all those who have successfully cleared the Civil Services Examination, 2025. He said that their dedication, perseverance and hard work have enabled them to achieve this significant milestone.

The Prime Minister noted that clearing the Civil Services Examination marks the beginning of an important journey of public service. He wished the successful candidates the very best as they embark on the path of serving the nation and fulfilling the aspirations of the people.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his message to those who may not have secured the desired outcome in the examination. He acknowledged that such moments can be difficult, but emphasised that this is only one step in a larger journey.

Highlighting that many opportunities lie ahead, both in future examinations and in the many avenues through in which individuals can contribute to the nation, the Prime Minister extended his best wishes to them for the road ahead.
