Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the second major rally for the day in Gangavathi, Karnataka.
Addressing the huge crowd, PM Modi said, “I have been informed that the CM of Karnataka and the son of former PM Deve Gowda Ji said today that if the BJP government wins in the coming General Elections, he will retire from active politics. However, his father also promised the same prior to 2014 and it is for everyone to see that Deve Gowda Ji is still active in politics. This is just a tiny part of the many lies the Opposition parties speak all the time.”
Asserting that the 2019 elections have presented the Indian voters with a crucial choice, PM Modi elaborated, “These elections are about choosing between the nation and a family, about electing a government that puts ‘nation first’ or a government that puts ‘family first.’ Both the JD(S) and Congress work to enrich their families and not to serve the people. This is why corrupt middlemen like Quattrocchi and Christian Michel flourished under their governments. Their latest scam is the ‘Tughlaq Road Poll Scam’ in which boxes of illicit cash has been unearthed from Congress officials recently. Now it is for the people to seek answers from Congress leaders for their endemic corruption and also decide if they trust such a party or its allies.”
Taking on the Karnataka government, Prime Minister Modi said, “The CM of Karnataka recently gave an insulating statement about our soldiers. I want to ask him and his allies if they harbor such derogatory feelings towards our soldiers in their hearts and minds too? How do they expect the nation-loving people of Karnataka to vote for them despite such anti-national statements? The Congress is also hand-in-glove with the JD(S) in standing with those that utter anti-national statements like asking for a separate Prime Minister in Jammu and Kashmir. Such a brand of politics is absolutely unacceptable in India.”
