The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi expressed grief over the loss of lives due to fire at a Covid Centre in Vijayawada.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said,

"Anguished by the fire at a Covid Centre in Vijayawada. My thoughts are with those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover as soon as possible. Discussed the prevailing situation with AP CM @ysjagan Ji and assured all possible support."

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid tributes to the country's first President, Bharat Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ji on his birth anniversary today. He hailed the invaluable contribution of Dr. Prasad ji in laying a strong foundation of Indian democracy.

In a post on X, Shri Modi wrote:

“देश के प्रथम राष्ट्रपति भारत रत्न डॉ. राजेन्द्र प्रसाद जी को उनकी जन्म-जयंती पर आदरपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि। संविधान सभा के अध्यक्ष के रूप में भारतीय लोकतंत्र की सशक्त नींव रखने में उन्होंने अमूल्य योगदान दिया। आज जब हम सभी देशवासी संविधान के 75 वर्ष का उत्सव मना रहे हैं, तब उनका जीवन और आदर्श कहीं अधिक प्रेरणादायी हो जाता है।”
