Narendra Modi to launch Statue of Unity video at Gujarat University

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi will on 13th December launch ‘Statue of Unity Movement Video’ at around 7.00 pm in presence of hundreds of youths at Gujarat University tower in GU campus.

The event has been organized by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust.

Shri Modi will on Sunday 15th of December flag off the Run for unity event at around 7.15 am in Vadodara. The event in Vadodara will involve more than 1.5 lakh local citizens. Similar event is being planned at more than 500 places across India on same day that marks Sardar Patel’s death anniversery.

Statue of Unity project involves construction of the tallest statue of the world near Narmada dam in central Gujarat featuring India’s iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. 15 December will witness starting of nationwide iron collection drive for proposed statue. Each village of country will donate iron farm tool which will be used in some part of the statue project which involves a lot more construction around the main statue.

Prime Minister Pays Tribute to the Martyrs of the 2001 Parliament Attack

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today paid solemn tribute to the brave security personnel who sacrificed their lives while defending the Parliament of India during the heinous terrorist attack on 13 December 2001.

The Prime Minister stated that the nation remembers with deep respect those who laid down their lives in the line of duty. He noted that their courage, alertness, and unwavering sense of responsibility in the face of grave danger remain an enduring inspiration for every citizen.

In a post on X, Shri Modi wrote:

“On this day, our nation remembers those who laid down their lives during the heinous attack on our Parliament in 2001. In the face of grave danger, their courage, alertness and unwavering sense of duty were remarkable. India will forever remain grateful for their supreme sacrifice.”
