On the evening of Thursday 9th January 2014 the NDA’s PM candidate Shri Narendra Modi participated in the inaugural India272+ Dialogues, held in New Delhi. Shri Modi interacted with a group of volunteers of the India272+ family. Shri Modi heard the views and insights of the volunteers and shared his perspective on various issues.

Shri Modi answered several personal questions such as what are the values that guide him. He inspired the volunteers to keep working for the nation and that their volunteering should not be restricted to only one election but towards the larger cause of nation building. Shri Modi urged the volunteers to positively engage with social media and share with the people of India what makes them feel proud. The Dialogue was moderated by Rajya Sabha MP and BJP Vice President Smt. Smriti Irani.

Inaugural India272+ Dialogues held in New Delhi

Speaking before the start of the Dialogue, BJP MP Shri Piyush Goyal said that lakhs of volunteers have devoted themselves towards the success of Mission272+ through the India272+ platform. He added that many of these are not BJP workers but want to see Shri Modi as the Prime Minister of India. He talked at length about the various activities on the www.India272.com including the online and on-ground activities through the forum. He said that the platform has generated a buzz among the people, who are eagerly contributing.

On the idea of the Dialogues, Shri Goyal said that the Party felt that the views of the volunteers should be heard and Shri Modi should interact with them and inspire them.  He stated that volunteers from all over India joined the Dialogue be it Kerala, Punjab, West Bengal. Shri Goyal also pointed that the enthusiasm was immense among the volunteers.

Earlier in the day, several workshops and insightful sessions were held for the volunteers.

Prime Minister congratulates Rastriya Swatantra Party leaders on electoral success in Nepal

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, had warm telephone conversations with Mr. Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and Mr. Balendra Shah, Senior Leader of the RSP.

Shri Modi congratulated both leaders on their electoral victories and the RSP’s resounding success in the Nepal elections. He conveyed his best wishes for the forthcoming new Government and reaffirmed India’s commitment to work with them for mutual prosperity, progress and well-being of the people of both countries.

Expressing confidence in the future of India-Nepal relations, the Prime Minister said that with joint endeavours, the partnership between the two nations will scale new heights in the years ahead.

In a X post, the Prime Minister said;
